Best Western Plus Hotel Plaza
Located in the heart of Västerås, this 25-storey hotel is 400 metres from the Central Station. The Sky Spa on the 23rd floor offers panoramic views, 3 different saunas, spa treatments and a calm relaxation area with refreshments.

A hotel stay we will carry with us for a long time ❤️
My son and I stayed at Hotel Plaza a week ago and I really feel that I must write a review.
From the first step through the doors, we were met with warmth.
The receptionists were fantastic. They weren't just service-minded – they were personal, engaged, and did the little extra to create a nice experience for us. They saw us, took the time, and gave us tips about both the hotel and the area. It felt genuine and very welcoming.
The bartender was also a real gem – funny, relaxed, and with a natural energy when interacting with people. Popcorn and drinks as a bonus were also a success!
Our room, 305, was nice, clean, and well-furnished. My son named the bed the most beautiful he has ever slept in. After a toilet visit, he also came out straining and shouted:
Smell my hands! They smell so good!
Even the soap got the highest rating.
Mini golf, ping pong and chess at the hotel was a fantastic evening, and the ability to easily get some candy from the shop next door was a big plus!
An extra plus for the TV and the ability to easily log in to your Netflix for a cozy evening.
It's a detail that really makes a difference. Sometimes you want to be able to retreat to the room, land after the day, and just enjoy.
We came down to breakfast around 10.00. Even though it was late, the buffet was still well-stocked and the staff was wonderful. The venue was large but had a surprisingly pleasant noise level.
At one point we needed to take a break from everything and I asked one of the employees if it was okay to take breakfast up to the room. When I explained the situation, she replied of course – and then asked if she should get us takeaway containers.
She ran off and sorted it out and also took the time to write a nice, encouraging note that warmed her incredibly much.
When it was time to go home, my son discovered a Pokémon nearby, so we had to throw our things in our bags and go hunting. The reception took care of our bags in the meantime and wished us good luck with big smiles. When we came back after a successful Pokémon Go session, the bags waited nicely for us.
It says a lot about the feeling of this hotel.
It's not just the hotel itself that made the stay nice – it's the people.
The staff created a warm, personal, and relaxed atmosphere where we felt genuinely welcome.
We already long for it back.

Perhaps they should just call it Western....
I have stayed at many hotels through our the world and some have been food and some have been bad..
This hotel experience belongs to the latter. I really have a problem with the name Best Western. It should just call it self Western. This way it does not promise more than it can keep..
I had booked the luxury room and to be quite frank there is no luxury.. Very disappointing.
I the room there is a iron, bit no ironing board. She I asked in reception I was told that they were stolen and that they therefore have established an ironing room on the 5th floor.. Well yes it a room and yes there is a board..
The bathrope that is advertised is no longer in the room. It can however be picked up in reception on demand..
It really was d disappointing experience.
I think that next time I am in Västerås, I will go for another hotel ️

Had a really nice stay here. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, the room was nice and quiet despite being in the centre of town, and we thoroughly enjoyed having a drink and checking out the views from the sky bar.

In king suit, there was absolutely nothing extra, no candy on the pillow, nothing in the refrigerator, no glass in the bathroom.

Good for a business stay
Small but functional rooms, recently updated furnishings, and an international breakfast. Small bathroom. Suitable for one or a maximum of two nights.
