Positively surprised – my new favorite hotel in Västerås

I actually had quite low expectations before I checked into Comfort Hotel Västerås, largely because of the location right next to the central station. But I was pleasantly surprised.
When you enter, you are greeted by a large and inviting lounge that feels much more alive than a normal hotel lobby. The buzz of guests socialising, working or having a coffee creates a pleasant atmosphere. There are plenty of seats, work areas for those who need to sit with the computer for a while, games and activities, including a table tennis table, and spaces suitable for families with children. The Barception concept runs smoothly and the staff was very nice.
The location is hard to beat if traveling by train. The hotel is literally just steps from the main train station, which made the trip incredibly comfortable. At the same time, it is close to the city center, the harbor, Lögarängen and other sights, so it is easy to get around on foot.
The room was modern, clean and had everything I needed for a comfortable overnight stay. An extra plus for TV with built-in Chromecast, which allowed me to easily stream my own services instead of being limited to the usual TV channels.
The breakfast was also high quality with a wide range where there was something for every taste. The scent of freshly baked bread met me already when I entered the breakfast room, and it was also fun that there were options that suited international hotel guests.
Overall, the stay was far beyond my expectations.
Comfort Hotel Västerås has definitely become my first choice when I visit the city. I'd love to come back.

Great value, super breakfast

Surprisingly nice for the cheap price. The breakfast was very nice. The gym was small but unusually well equipped. Super!

I was expecting a sauna, but there waa none. Perhaps just a personal disappointment that other visitors wouldn't share, however.

Comfort

Very good, but lacked juice at breakfast. Otherwise, I think the hotel is absolutely superb. Very friendly staff.

Good hotel in great location

Amazing staff, clean hotel with all you need. Small rooms. However for business purpose when you are most of time outdoor is ok. And location is perfect. Close to different public transport means: train, bus and lots of good restaurant and others
