Once you have been there you feel like coming back again soon.

Want to ski in Verbier but dont or cant affoard the astronomical hotel or apartment prices?, then there is a solution for families and nature lovers. This hotel has what you need in the simple way. The beds are good,and although a 70es hotel look practical and very clean, the food is home made, the wine is local and the price is affordable. Situated at the far end of the valley at aprox 20 min from the Chable ski lifts it is at the same height as verbier but quieter. Ideal sealskin skiing, hiking and snow shoe walks. When it comes to alpine skiing get early to the Chable (huge parking available) skilift up to the slopes witout waiting.

A LOVELY AND EXCEPTIONAL PLACE

We have been to this Hotel many times and each time it is with the same joy and excitement that we are returning. It is like going back in time and that is what we are looking for when going there. In spite of the fact that it does not have any stars it is a fantastic place. The owners are wonderful and helpful people. Lunch and dinners (breakfast is included and is composed mostly of their own homemade products) has to be ordered in advance and is served either in the Bar on in the cosy restaurant room (depending on the number of clients), are good - not pretentious, but good with a wide choice of superbe wines from the region. The rooms still decorated as in the 70s are simple but clean, well heated and have a toilet, sink and shower and well equipped with towels - most of them have its own balcony with a view on the small other chalets. The bigger rooms (suites) have, in addition, a little kitchen and a separate bedroom. They also have two family apartments. The prices for the rooms, food and beverages remain very very reasonable. The place is rather isolated and very quiet in the evening which allows for wonderful sleeping conditions.
There are a lot of activities, walking, skiing, etc. It takes us 15 to 20 minutes by car to arrive at Chable where we park the car and take the cable car up to Verbier skiing resort.
If you wish to experience something different and are not looking for luxury, this is the right place.

Geweldig!

Vaak hier geweest echt een top hotel van een bijzondere gastvrije familie. Vlakbij mooie skigebieden. Uitstekende gastvrije service. Ook het eten erg netjes verzorgd en anders een aanrader La Grange van dezelfde familie en dat is ook geweldig. Vergeet niet een keer het echte authentieke raclette te proberen.

Girate al largo

Benvenuti in Svizzera:
durante un tour in mtb abbiamo fatto tappa in questo ostello, nome assai appropriato.
La ns guida probabilmente avrà lucrato sulle nostre quote.
Fatto sta che le camere sono davvero pessime, oltre che sudice.
La cena è stata oltre che scarsa anche pessima, oltre al fatto che i tavoloni della "mensa" erano occupati da piatti sporchi con nuvole di mosche fastidiose.
La colazione idem, come sopra. Pane e burro e vasetti di marmellate all'aria aperta senza nessuna protezione dagli sciami di insetti. Più che nella repubblica Elvetica sembrava di essere in uno stato centroafricano.
Per non parlare del tentativo di furto di quel brutto essere del proprietario che voleva farmi pagare quattro birre mai ordinate.
Consiglio : girate al largo !
