The best gastronomy in the Seeland - a paradise for a time

The Hotel de La Gare looks uninviting from the outside. But when you get to know the host, you discover the inner values. The rooms are all highly recommended. The guest room is a diamond such as you will not find anywhere else in the Seeland. Pizzas are produced in the highest quality. The other dishes are also well above average; when you then consider the price level, there is hardly a restaurant where you can eat better for less money. The only downside is that this paradise will not last forever and in a few years it will all be over. So definitely visit this paradise while it still exists.

Perfect for discovering the region by bike and for staying as a group

We were 20 cyclists and we stayed 3 nights at the Hôtel de la Gare. The owner and the staff welcomed us warmly and answered all our requests, even providing a fridge for our use.
Ideal accommodation for groups.
New, well-appointed rooms, hearty breakfast, secure bike parking.
Our stay was perfect.

Great overnight accommodation.

We were warmly welcomed. We received the room key immediately.
The room was cool, despite the heat outside. It was clean, spacious, and practically furnished. The breakfast was not a buffet for variety, but still delicious, with coffee, orange juice, water, bread, butter, jam, cheese, and ham. Would gladly return.

Extraordinary ambiance.

The hotel is very clean and well-maintained.
The host is very nice. The cuisine was excellent.
All in all, a great weekend.

Affordable hotel near Lake Murten

Friendly family service, sufficient menu with Swiss specialties, clean accommodation at a very reasonable price.
We really liked the house's decor featuring special exhibits by the artist Luginbühl.
