One of the best hotels in Basal

This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. Firstly the hotel is in excellent condition, new refit, beautiful interior, and well designed. Every comfort has been thought about, for example 3 different types of pillows as standard (one being memory foam), everything in the room- fridge is free, the rooms are large, the closet is open in design, shower perfect.
Finally the service => it’s just as good as the hotel. Special shout out to Samuel and the team, they helped with every request and they were perfectly coordinated, which meant I didn’t have to start a request from the beginning each time.
Please note we did have a small negative incident, but the hotel team should professionalism, and I still felt very much looked after.
Well Done hotel Marthof, I will visit again soon. Keep up the effort, it’s working!

Great stay at the Hotel Marthof

Great location in the heart of Basel's old town. Friendly helpful staff. Enjoyed dinner in the restaurant.

Nice hotel in cool location in Basel old town. Staff very helpful and friendly. Room was advertised to have ac but did not and room was quite hot (they did bring fans to both of our rooms). Room itself was nice with excellent bathroom and good views of old town.

Fabulous location, beautiful hotel. Our room was very spacious and beautifully designed. So nice how the tram system pass was included with our stay - that was a nice surprise! Great restaurant downstairs (where our breakfast was included). We would absolutely go back to this hotel again!
