Always worth a visit

Had a very good meal in wonderful weather at the lakeside promenade. Friendly and quick service.

Romantic

Nice bed and breakfast, structure of an old hotel. Very well heated, overlooking the lake. Friendly staff. We had booked a room towards the mountain and were offered the one with lake view... just nice! Some small tricks like an extra socket in the room would not hurt but we were very happy!!

great location, spacious, clean and functional

Very clean and spacious room, great location for further excursions. Ideal with a dog, easy to clean thanks to the tiled floor and ideal for walks. Good parking, very good coffee at breakfast, which is simple but functional.

Beautiful location for a stopover

Stayed for one night stopover, Beautiful location, manager on duty was very helpful can't fault him or the service he gave us. Food was also good.
We paid for a superior room with lakeside and 2 balconies, we had lake view and a balcony (1) that's fine, who needs 2! Room was spacious but no towels, no kettle, no cups, no glasses despite having a kitchen unit, nothing in the cupboards. No headboard for the bed, and 2 single duvets, really needs a king-size duvet and are pillows awful. Seems room's been refurbished recently but not finished.
Not expecting the earth, just better furnishing especially for the bed.
Having said that when we asked for more pillows, kettle etc, the manager did provide us withthemno problem, credit to him.

Excellent Location

While the Rigiblick was once a destination hotel with a beautiful view of Lake Lucerne - it is in truth now more of a B&B with only six rooms and the remainder apparently occupied as apartments . We stayed here for four nights in a standard room at the back of the hotel . All rooms have a kitchenette with a fridge , dishwasher and micro-wave and an ensuite shower. We had to ask for coat hangers and a kettle - but these were willingly provided . Francesco , the manager is a dynamo of activity and can be a little abrasive but Luigi and Mario are always cheerful and helpful with the star prize going to Margela - who orchestrates breakfast single handed and seems to work the longest hours . Location is perfect - paddle boards available immediately outside the hotel - and a marvellous stepping off point for walks on Rigi and trips on Lake Lucerne on the 100 year old paddle steamers !
