Lovely hotel for a short break

We choose this hotel as part of our rail holiday through Switzerland. It is about a 6 minute easy walk from the railway station and easy to find. The receptionist was very friendly, efficient, and business like. My wife had booked a room in the annex which proved very good as it was a small suite giving us a living room in addition to the bedroom. Chur is a lovely spot where you can explore lots using this place as a Base. The room was comfortable. Unfortunately we were there during a heatwave which proved challenging but not a fault of the hotel and they did provide 2 large fans. The rooms were well appointed and comfortable. The breakfasts were very good with lots of choice including an omelette chef.
The one minor niggle is we only found out about the local discount card which the hotel offers and is sent to your email (phone) giving discounts on local amenities including the cable car and museums. Slightly annoying as we paid full price for the cable car (thry asked us at the cable car if we had a discount card but the hotel said normally they would ask if you were staying at a hotel in the town and contact them for a discount. We didnt know as we were new to the town). I would recommend you ask for the discount card on checking in.
That said we would return in a heartbeat.

Charming hotel with good level services, welcoming and well-managed. Restaurant and bar are very pleasant and with excellent typical regional offerings

Charming 4* hotel, right in the old town, our room was great: modern, large...

Very nice quiet room, mostly excellent service (only OK at breakfast)
Breakfast unfortunately mediocre (not 4* standard, only small pre-packaged plates)

Lovely, Pleasant,

I wouldn't know what to complain about! Everything was PIGOBELLO! The staff helpful and friendly! Room clean, well ventilated!
I can only recommend the Hotel Stern!
