Amazing food
Spontaneous stop to have lunch turned out to be a culinary highlight. We had an outstanding chamois entrecôte accompanied by fabulous Pizokels. Also the children meal was very tasty. Cosy dining room.

Don’t stay here
The guest house we booked in Davos was completely shut at 17.30pm when we arrived. We rang the property he said he couldn’t find our booking and could we ring back in 5 minutes after he went and found it.
He never answered us again and left us and another gentleman high and dry we had paid in full but he never showed up or answered any other texts and calls. We tried and the other gentleman who turned up tried for over an hour.

Disappointing stay at Gasthof Tschuggen: Bad communication, closed kitchen, catastrophic service
I am very sorry that I can only give one star for our stay at the Gasthof Tschuggen. Our week of ski touring with a group of 17 people from Monday to Friday was unfortunately marked by disappointing experiences. Despite a clear booking with half board and an advance payment for bed and breakfast, communication was a nightmare. When we arrived at 9:30 a.m., we were greeted with a locked door and check-in was not possible until 3:30 p.m. The kitchen remained closed throughout our stay and the landlord or tenant was only sporadically in the house, so we could order drinks if he happened to be there. There was no other staff to be seen. For dinner, we had to drive to other restaurants in Davos in our cars each time, as no food was offered at the inn. The breakfast buffet was provided for us during the night. We had to bring our own cereal. On the last evening, we found the dirty dishes from breakfast still on the table and there were no coffee beans or tea bags left, which made us very unsure whether we would get breakfast at all. The tenant, who arrived with a Liechtenstein license plate, has only been running this historic inn since June 2023. Unfortunately, the hotel was lifeless and heartless during our stay.

Enigmatic gasthaus without restaurant!
Please note, this establishment changed ownership in 2023 and is partially closed!
It is possible to book a room to spend the night, but that's it. The receptionist (the only one in the establishment) is present sporadically, don't count on having a drink at the bar and even less on a meal, the welcome is at the very least out of step with the usual Swiss standard, a riddle to solve?
The restaurant seems closed..., if you spend the night, you will have to find a restaurant near Davos!

Coffee stop this time but food looks great
A Flüela Pass or Jörisee hike can perfectly be combined with a lunch here and their mountain staples such as the Alpine macaroni looked delicious indeed. Otherwise perfect for a quick pit stop for coffee and some Bündner nut cake. Overnight stay is also possible here giving a great starting spot for those nearby hikes.
