Friendly family run hotel with modern and charming rooms, and beautiful views

We stayed in this small hotel in Elm in March 2021 (during the coronavirus pandemic). The room was spacious and looked to have been recently renovated. The room had a modern and charming feel with lovely wooden beams and a few mountaineering decorations. We also had a small balcony with a great view of the mountains.
The hotel is not in the centre of Elm, but Elm is not very big so it is only a short walk (on a road) to the town centre and the gondolas up the mountain.
The owners were accommodating to our needs, we had wanted to have our evening meal from the restaurant in our rooms, but in the end we ate in the restaurant as it was not busy. Breakfast was typical for Swiss hotels but done well, the evening meals we had were very tasty 3 course meals, for a very reasonable price.
One of the nicest hotels I have stayed in while in Switzerland. If I was in the area I would definitely stay here again.

Good place to stay and eat

Great place to stay and eat. The staff is very friendly. The rooms are nice and they serve diferent tyoes of codon-bleu;)
The lifts are in walking distance and it's a good place to start and end some hikes.

Families welcome !

2 nights-skitrip to ELM, Family with 2 kids (7 and 9 years old). This is a perfect family hotel, wooden style, clean and calm. The 3 bed room supported easily a 4th bed. We had enough space with all the ski clothes. The hotel is about 400 meters from the gondola (10 minutes walk) and 800 meters from the center of the village Elm. Very nice staff. Nice breakfast buffet, correct pricing during high season.
The bed linen could be a bit softer!

Quaint hotel in Elm, amazing owners

Quaint hotel in Elm. It is a little out of the city center, but right near the sportscenter/gondola area. We got in after a long day of hiking to find no laundry facilities open in town. The hotel owners graciously offered to do our laundry for us in their private wash. We ate dinner at their restaurant and had a very nice meal. The owners were very caring people and took pride in their hotel. Thanks agin for your generosity.

Tolle Erfahrung

Dieser Familienbetrieb überzeugt. Die Zimmer sind frisch renoviert und man merkt dies an den topp Matratzen und dem flauschigen Frottee, notabene einer Glarner Firma...nachkaufen lohnt sich)
Wir hatten ein 3- jähriges Patenkind dabei, welches an den Seilen und Karabinern bei der Garderobe im Zimmer Freude hatte. Fernseher gute Grösse, Duschmittel gut, Föhn mittelstark.
Es steht eine Flasche Elmer Wasser im Zimmer, aber das kühle Hahnenwasser ist prima.
Abendessen Karte rustikal, aber überraschend frisches Gemüse in schöner Zubereitung.
In der Nacht war es trotz vielen Kindern herrlich ruhig. Frühstück mit frischen Produkten und Zopf.
Der 5 Punkt gibt es für die sehr angenehme Gastfreundlichkeit der Hotelierfamilie. Wir realisierten nach dem Frühstück und Zimmer abgeben, dass Elm vollgeparkt war....Stress pur erwartet..ABER wir durften den Wagen stehen lassen auf dem Hotelparkplatz. So konnten wir den Tag froh geniessen. Nicht selbstverständlich, umso herzlicher unser Dank !
