Three - Five Star Hotel - Service

I can only tell the best about this hotel. The reception was very warm. The whole staff and especially the boss were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are rather simple but tiptop clean and those on the front offer great views of the village and over the Albula Valley. At night it was wonderfully quiet. The restaurant was particularly outstanding. Everything was very tasty prepared. This chef understands his profession. The breakfast buffet was very good. All in all - highly recommended !

Long weekend in Filisur.

Friendly welcome, large room, clean and functional.
Breakfast was good and with fine and fresh ingredients.
Staff friendly and helpful.
The location of the hotel is ideal, close to the train station, starting point for various hikes.

What happened to our breakfasts.

I thought I must let other members know of our experience at a recent visit to this hotel situated in the charming village of Filisur in the Swiss Alps.
Our two adjacent rooms were more than satisfactory although a little dated.
My main message to all visitors concerns the breakfasts.
Do not expect to be sustained by the pathetic offerings put before us during our four night stay.I list the following .
1.No toaster available
2.Coffee machine had the hot plate off hence no warm coffee after 15 minutes.
3.Mixed fruit was tinned.No fresh fruit in site.
4.The Corn Flakes were stale and surely out of date.
5.Constant need to ask for support as the owner hardly ever appeared.eg more milk
I could go on but I hope you have the picture.
What a shame to report this as we left the hotel on our tour around the Alps seeking food.
As no fridge was provided in our rooms we spent a lot in the Coop just to buy the things needed to start the day.
Just be warned that this hotel is in my opinion the worst I have had the misfortune to visit for not providing the breakfasts we were charged for.

Just fabulous, do it!

The staff at this holiday absolutely made my trip! From Julia during prompt communication and Pierre who was exceptionally kind and helped me with an urgent situation, they were just fabulous.
The beds are very comfortable and the whole place is exceptionally clean.
The staff in the restaurant are also brilliant, very friendly and welcoming. And the food is absolutely outstanding.
Top class experience.
