A wonderful hotel
Hotels that have a soul still exist. The Panorama Hotel is located a bit away from the center and guarantees three things: Peace and quiet, very friendly staff, and a wonderful view that is second to none.
We were guests at this wonderful hotel for four days and enjoyed every minute there. Our room did not have a view to the front, but that was not necessary either, because we spent a lot of time on the terrace, which is an attraction in itself. On the terrace, you have the same view as in the rooms overlooking the mountains. Therefore, you should not be upset if those rooms are already booked. If the weather is bad, no one sees anything anyway.
Our room had a separate living room and bedroom, plus a beautiful bathroom. Everything was perfect.
The breakfast buffet is rather small, but it has everything you would expect. Then there is also an honor bar where you can help yourself to drinks and other small items. The prices here are very reasonable; it all fits.
These four days were worth every franc, and we would love to come back next year. The overall Panorama Hotel package was more than convincing! Bravo!!

Modern cabin feel, with gorgeous views & plenty of amenities
We had the most fabulous stay for 2 nights while visiting Grindelwald. Everything was a sleek new design & the staff were super helpful. I loved our mountain views & the breakfast spread was plentiful. They have coffee/teas/waters all day long out on the gorgeous terrace, or if its cold they have a fireplace & cozy corners.
While it is a bit out of the town centre, you can easily get a bus up in 20 min or as we did for dinner hike back up in about 15.

Incredible views with even more incredible staff!
This place is not one to be missed.
Firstly, the hotel is beautiful. Cute and charming and traditional from the outside. But modern, scandi vibes indoors which is a refreshing take compared to a lot of the old style chalets that exist. It’s situated further up the hill in a quiet area, away from the hustle and bustle of the main town. All of this allows you to appreciate the beauty of the environment around you.
They have ample parking and two electric car charged on site if needed.
The bedrooms are modern, clean and charming, with touches of artwork. The rooms are well equipped and are logically designed with spaces for bags, a good sized wardrobe and desk. The rooms are on the smaller size, but have breathtaking views over the mountain range and over the rest of Grindlewald (if you book a Mountain View room).
There is a large downstairs area with snacks and complementary drinks. A bunch of board games are scattered around for you to play in the evenings next to the cosy fireplace and the ambience of the place is very chill.
The breakfast in the morning has a good continental selection, and filled us up before a long day hiking.
The staff! This place is all about the staff. Katie and Jamas(?) (So sorry, I can’t fully remember his name) were incredibly attentive and helpful. They were kind and personable, always up for giving you recommendations of things to do, checking in to make sure everything is ok, giving us an umbrella when they saw us go out in the rain, all without being too involved. Both of these staff members helped us out significantly, and Jamas(?) even carried our luggage to our room as there was no elevator.
One bit of constructive feedback for the owners (and it’s only a very small silly thing), we were in room 103, overlooking the mountains and our view was only slightly obscured due to the very tall umbrella they have on the decking below. When the umbrellas are up, it’s fine, but when they’re put down, they go even taller. I’m sure the floor above us wouldn’t have this problem, but just a small improvement I’d suggest. :)
Just a tip for any visitors, speak to Katie about this amazing hike you can do up to the glacier opposite the hotel. It was hard work for us, but super rewarding. Thanks for all the insight on these little secrets that aren’t posted all over the internet, really made our trip special and we didn’t want to leave.

Best Hotel in Grindelwald
The hotel was wonderful. Modern, clean, efficient. The view is world class and the view alone is worth the stay. Staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing and was a full buffet not just a continental breakfast. The hotel is quiet with inviting public areas to hangout after a day of hiking. I give this hotel my strongest recommendation.

Mind blowing Views!!!
View to take your breath away.!!
If you want elegance without the pretention, away from the madding crowds but with easy access this is your place.
The rooms are perfect, modern yet warm and the whole place feels like an alpine resort complete with piano and log burners.
Breakfasts and staff are another standout!!
