Built in 1845, the Posthotel Rössli is the oldest hotel in Gstaad and is situated right in the pedestrianized centre of the village. It offers free parking on site and free WiFi in the entire building.

Excellent Price Quality Ratio for Gstaad and Very Good Welcoming

Typical and warm interior and pleasant terrace.
The staff is very friendly and professional.
The menu is varied and the products are fresh and cooked in the traditional way.
Everything is tasty including desserts, all at reasonable rates for Gstaad.
An address to remember if you go through Gstaad.

Excellent terrace for lunch

We had lunch on the terrace, everything was perfect. The service was impeccable and the dishes delicious. Special mention for spinach gnocchi, a delight. The terrace is sunny at noon, it is a real happiness! I recommend this restaurant.

Warm and genuine; beautiful bedrooms.

I have stayed at the Rössli, as well as quite a number of other hotels in Gstaad over the decades and I must say the Rössli is one of my very favorites. Their bedrooms and furnishings are really appealing - all warm wood, done in the traditional way, simple and beautiful. There is no clutter but only very comfortable, clean and warm. The Stube with local people is genuine which is rather hard to find these days. Well, now I have my own chalet so I do not stay in the Rössli any more - but receiving their email about their updates made me want to write about them! I am very happy to see from the pictures that the bedrooms maintain their warm ambiance!

Best Start to our Swiss Holiday!

Walking into the Roessli, we immediately felt at home. We were drawn to this historic, and what is actually the oldest hotel in Gstaad,due to the recommendation of a local friend, and we felt at home right away. From the historic photos to the tasteful upgrades to the rooms to the yummy breakfasts. The owner, Conroy and the incredible staff, are friendly and super helpful with suggestions and sharing tips for the many local excursions. We WILL be back.
