Good location if the passes are open. Functional, comfortable but nothing special particularly when considering the cost

When you arrive, you could argue that the age of the Hotel is part of its charm but then you could also argue that it is part of its problem. There is a lot of pine cladding on the walls and ceilings of the rooms which give it a sauna feel snd modernisation is definitely required.
We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Hotel were it not for the cost. I appreciate Switzerland is expensive but this was over 570 CHF for three nights at the end of November when nothing was happening. Breakfast is okay and predictable and the rooms could really do with some seats as opposed to having to do everything from the bed. A kettle would go along way.

Good food, huge portions!

We were here for dinner. The schnitzel and the cordon bleu are huge. Like almost all portions, by the way. The Rösti isn't bad either, but it clearly loses to the schnitzel in the price-performance ratio. The Service is fast and attentive.

Good from experience

I organize 1 course week every year in Innertkirchen and the surrounding area. The Hotel Hof und Post is our ideal partner. Hotel room, half board and seminar room meet all our requirements. That's why we'll be back next spring.

Room 41 is a good choice

Ideally situated for the passes. Plenty of parking. On site bar & restaraunt.
Had room 41 (4th floor at the front of the hotel) with bedroom/private bathroom upstairs with views of square/mountains. Clean, comfortable but basic.
Watch out for the pesky flies in the outside seating areas!!

recommended for visiting the AAre gorges

hotel in good position to reach the Aare gorges. There is nothing in the village so we chose half board. Good dinner at a fair price. Minimal but clean room. The bathroom perhaps needs modernization. Possibility to park for free in front of the hotel. Very friendly reception staff. Good breakfast. recommended for those passing through.
