Great apartments, perfect for (young) families.
The food is good, be it breakfast or dinner at the steakhouse. However, you have to wait quite a long time for food, which can be a bit exhausting especially with small children.
What bothered us: The temperature of the indoor pool is too cold. 30° is enough in summer, but not in winter. This is a great pity because the waterfall and whirlpool invite you to linger - but it is too cold to relax in the water for longer. If you prefer to heat the apartments a little less, then you can keep the pool warmer with the saved costs ;-)

Dreamlike family resort with everything you could wish for!
My stay at Melchtal Resort was simply fantastic and exceeded all my expectations! The resort offers an incredible variety of activities for all ages – from Ninja Park and children's cinema to air hockey and a great pool & spa area. Everything is there for the whole family!
Our apartment Comfort was a dream! Modern, stylish and with a cozy atmosphere. The balcony overlooking the church and the mountains behind it was the perfect place for an evening wine.
The Steakhouse “Zum Roten Taurus” was also outstanding! From the huge breakfast buffet to the best steak we've eaten in a long time. The food at the resort was of the highest quality.
The parking facilities were also top. Overall, the stay at Melchtal Resort was unforgettable and I highly recommend it. Whether relaxing or adventure, there is something for everyone. I will definitely come back!

Comfortable resort in the village of Melchtal
The only flaw is the price per night, very high for a village without any particular attraction.

Perfect for families with children!
Breakfast and lunch at the “Steakhouse zum Roten Taurus” really impressed us. The selection was great, and especially the meat dishes prepared on the charcoal grill were an absolute highlight. You can taste the difference!
For families with children Melchtal Resort is a true paradise. The vast world of experiences leaves nothing to be desired: A course, a slide, a ball pool, numerous toys and even a children's cinema ensure that there is no boredom. Even for older children there is plenty of action and adventure with the Ninja Parkour and Valo Arena.
The surrounding area offers a lot of activities for all tastes – from hiking to sledging and skiing⛷️ to other outdoor experiences to enjoy to the fullest. After an active day we used the indoor pool♀️, sauna♀♀️ and gym – all brand new and super maintained.
Another plus was the large garage with direct access to the individual houses. Especially in bad weather just super comfortable!
All in all, we felt completely comfortable at Melchtal Resort and can only warmly recommend the hotel for families as well as for nature lovers.

Good and bad
It seems to new that they did not think much about kitchen amenities. Cutting knives looks good but are dangerously dull, the restaurant downstairs is closed during Christmas so we have to cook all the time. There’s no mittens for the oven. No wine opener, no fondue pot ( expected or for a Swiss hotel but thanks god we brought it) no Baking sheet .
We went downstairs to the reception to ask for a help. It is open for 2 hours between 3-5pm. I was there at 5pm and the restaurant staff who were enjoying drinking and ignored me when I knocked on the entrance door to ask for mittens for oven.
We also needed to pick up bath robe from the kitchen and we were scolded that the restaurant is closed. Why isn’t the bath robe in our room???
Overall it’s a nice hotel but do bring all your necessities.
