Great hotel in a beautiful town

Delightful hotel. Friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Good shower. Very quiet location yet near cafes, restaurants and the train station. Superb breakfast. You won’t find many British tourists in Lindau which is a shame as it’s so beautiful.

Home sweet home

This is a charming, family run hotel, full of character and has a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. We had a squeaky clean, spacious room, equipped with a safe, fridge, Nespresso machine, multiple power outlets and delicious snacks! Our room was on the second floor and the stairs were steep, but the cheerful staff swiftly transported our luggage for us. Nothing seemed too much trouble.
There was a little street noise, but with the windows closed, it didn’t bother us.
No air con, but a large, study fan was provided.
The bathroom was quite spacious and supplied with quality towels, including wash cloths.
The bed was comfortable and the linens nice and fresh.
Breakfast was tasty, fresh and delicious, with hot dishes cooked to order.
Nothing to complain about out here!

Authentic German cuisine

Sunday lunch and we wanted an authentic Germanic experience. It didn’t disappoint. The food is incredible, the service friendly and the place is full of character. Definitely recommend the Bavarian plate with sausages, meatloaf, sauerkraut and potato salad. Pork schnitzel, was good as well.

A favorite local spot

This review refers exclusively to the restaurant that we stumbled upon during a rainy walk through Lindau: We were so impressed by the friendliness and warmth of the staff and the excellent quality of the food that we came for dinner every evening from then on! Absolutely recommendable!

A hotel where you feel comfortable

My wife and I spent a night at the "Alte Post" in Lindau on a bike ride. We were greeted very friendly. Our room was comfortable, clean and cozy. We slept very well. The breakfast was excellent. The bikes could be safely parked in a lockable room. We only regretted that the very well-reviewed restaurant was closed on our day of arrival, a Monday. We can recommend the hotel without reservation.
