A 10+++ accommodation

The couple who own place are very welcoming, accomodating, helpful and attentive. It attributed a lot to make our trip to Switzerland an unforgettable journey. Everything was perfect, the delicious and rich breakfast , the comfortable and well aquippped room, the awesome and beautiful private garden and the majestic scenery around.
We rating our experience there for 10+++ .

Much better than an impersonal hotel

My wife and I stayed for three nights in early May. Edith was very communicative by email beforehand and exceptionally attentive while we were there. She asked our preferences for breakfast and recommended activities. The room and garden are filled with personal touches that show Edith's love of nature and attention to detail. For example, our room had a vase of local flowers. The breakfast was so large that it was enough for our lunch as well.
Weather in Meiringen in early May was fine although the tourist season had not started and most of the chairlifts into the mountains had not started operating.

Absolutely perfect

It was one of the most relaxing weekend we had in Switzerland so far. The B&B is excellent, we enjoyed a lot the room, the garden and, of course, we were delighted by outstanding hospitality of Edith and Niels! Their great advice on where to go and what to see made our weekend really perfect! Highly recommend to everyone who loves nature, cost houses and relaxation.

Simply splendid!

My wife and I are very experienced European travelers and had not been in Switzerland for a few years. We were staying in the Alsace in France and decided to go to the village of Meiringen Switzerland for a week which is only a few hours south. After reviewing Bed and Breakfast reviews we decided to stay here. What a great find! Edith and Niels ( owners) are the most gracious of hosts. They are full of recommendations about the area and share freely. The room we stayed in on the first floor is spectacular. When you wake you are staring at 3500 meter snow-covered mountains! Additionally the room walks out into a wonderful garden full of flowers and fruit bushes and trees. What you see on the Web advertisement for this Bed and Breakfast is just what you get. Simply spectacular. Edith prepares a wonderful breakfast each day which is full of her own fruits and jam. The most wonderful rolls and bread are also available each day. It is a little piece of Switzerland that should not be missed. The village is just right sized with a few restaurants which are varied and good and most importantly a train station ( walking distance) from which you can go to Luzern or Interlaken and beyond if you want. If you want peace and quiet in a little corner of Switzerland less travelled please stay here with Edith and Niels.

Simply wonderful!

This is the perfect place for a wonderful time in and around Meiringen: beautiful location in a flowering garden, charmingly decorated, very clean, fantastic organic food from local produce - and the best are the hosts: friendly and interesting! Many thanks for the wonderful stay - we'll come back for more...
