Hotel with history!

This hotel is in a tiny village in Jura, Switzerland. It has a colorful history as a center for culture. There are posters everywhere of the concerts, plays, exhibitions that have made this place special. The rooms are completely newly decorated, each with a "motto". We stayed in "J" (for Jazz), and one wall was plastered in posters from the jazz groups that have performed there over the years, some quite famous! We loved it! The restaurant is averagely priced (everything in Switzerland is pricey!) but our dinner was elegantly served and extremely delicious. The wine list is heavy on wines from the region, which we enjoy. Also there is an art gallery integrated into the building. When we were there, a new exhibition had just opened. We also took a local bus to the nearby Doux river that runs on the border to France and hiked there for a half-day. Lovely!

Café du Soleil was once a great pickle......

Miserable and unprofessional Service, trimmed for clearance.
Boring, fries and meat-heavy card, loveless.
It was very disappointing, especially because Café du Soleil was once a great pickle.

To avoid

Fry frozen and dried carp, without flavor and huge, full of bones. Forget the salad that was supposed to accompany it. Mayo immonde.
Ham with dry bone and not seasoned.
Long wait, outdated waitress while boss smokes outside.

Not good... the food was not good

During a dinner with friends I ate the worst sauerkraut of my life! No taste, sausage cut into small pieces, raw potatoes... my wife took the fried arch cooked and dry carp... the boss who plays darts while the only sommelier runs to serve people and cash in at the same time! Boss lets customers plug into the Bluetooth of the music system and doesn’t handle too jamming sound , we couldn’t hear ourselves talking at the table so loud ... had finished eating and waited 30 minutes for my plate to be taken away ... sommelier nice , fast and smiling despite the mess made by darts players drinking beer ...

Nice restaurant, good service, terrible ice cream

Today I ate the most absolutely hideous and disgusting ice cream in my whole life (not finished) at Cafe Restaurant Soleil. This is a pity because it is a very nice restaurant with an appealing garden and the guests were in a good mood. Even the service was nothing to complain about.
It is a mystery to me how one can expect such a thing to the guests.
