Wish we stayed longer
Location - 5 star prettiest place I’ve ever been like genuinely stunning right next to the lake and 5 minute walk from ski lifts 5 minute shuttle bus from train station. Clear sky at night when we stayed visible shooting stars.
Atmosphere - cozy clean spotless perfect and a very nice vibe
Rooms - we had two room one with a balcony on the 3rd floor looking over an athletics track and the lake the other with a balcony again on the 2nd floor looking over the mountains .
Noise level - quite never heard a noise ever.
Breakfast - very very nice there were pastries , yogurt , fruit , spreads , cereal , cooked breakfast , waffles , juice , hot drinks .
Service - great kind friendly helpful couldn’t ask for more

Disappointing Contrast
Our stay at Hotel Laudinella was defined by a striking contrast between the impressive public areas and the disappointing condition of the room itself.
Upon arrival, the hotel makes an excellent first impression. The lobby, restaurants and common areas are spacious, elegant and well maintained. Everything feels inviting and creates the expectation of a comfortable four-star experience. The restaurants and shared facilities in particular have a modern and appealing atmosphere, suggesting a hotel that takes pride in providing quality for its guests.
Unfortunately, that positive impression disappeared the moment we entered our room.
The room was relatively small and furnished with old, heavily worn pine furniture. The wardrobes and storage spaces looked so dated and battered that I genuinely did not feel comfortable placing my clothes inside them. Paint was peeling from the bathroom door, and the skirting boards showed signs that looked very much like previous water damage. The overall impression was one of neglect and a lack of investment in maintenance.
The bathroom was equally disappointing. It felt tired and outdated, there were numerous insects visible in the ceiling area, and the soap dispenser did not function. While the room appeared reasonably clean, cleanliness alone cannot compensate for the general state of disrepair.
What makes the experience particularly frustrating is the enormous gap between the beautiful public spaces and the quality of the accommodation itself. The hotel advertises and presents itself as a comfortable higher-end property, yet the room felt more comparable to something one might encounter in a basic one- or two-star hotel.
It was genuinely disappointing to arrive at such attractive surroundings only to find a room that fell so far below expectations. With rooms renovated to the same standard as the lobby and restaurants, this could be an excellent hotel. In its current state, however, the contrast is simply too great to ignore. The room was the defining part of our stay, and unfortunately it left us disappointed.

A hotel to forget
Hotel without heart and soul. Renovated, but the rooms have no charm. Staff poorly trained, wait times at check-in / checkout much too long. Breakfast area always full, staff overloaded and overwhelmed. Checkout from the room already at 10:30, which is an insolence. ATTENTION: The hotel charges a flat fee of CHF 60.-- to charge an electric car PLUS CHF 20.-- for parking. An outrage, because where else should you park if the charging station is in the garage? I would never stay at this hotel again.

Top hotel in a good location
The hotel has a top location, the rooms are very clean and quiet, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is lovingly prepared and has everything your heart desires. The parking spaces are located directly in front of the hotel and we were allowed to use them even on the day of departure. We can only recommend this hotel.

Great Bar & Lounge Area for Socialising
Recently renovated hotel a pleasant 1/2 hour walk along lakeside from train station. At our time of arrival there weren't enough reception staff attending new arrivals, although there seemed to be plenty of staff in back office. The room was newly renovated for use in the ski season, plenty of storage room for bulky items. The bathroom & shower alcove were spacious, separate toilet. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room. It was a warm period in St Moritz and our room was very warm & stuffy when we arrived in the afternoon. Whilst there were windows that opened, could't have curtains closed then they were open. There were new electronic blinds on the outside of the room but these inhibited airflow. There was not a fan in room either. As air-conditioning is not allowed by government regulation some consideration to improving airflow in rooms should be considered for the summer months, eg ceiling fans.
There was a large bar/lounge area on the ground floor, great for socialising. The breakfast, included in our tariff was excellent.
A free shuttle bus is available to return to train station.
