Good reference for sleeping in the area

Beautiful location. Surrounded by nature
Perfect for lovers of silence and walks in the woods
However really visit the town as well as Mendrisio (although in the morning the main roads are very busy.

Really top choice

Warm and well organized cozy inn. Braceria , wood-burning pizzeria and contemporary national cuisine in addition to that of the Valtellina and local traditions . Excellent value for money, organic raw materials, zero KM and seasonal! Bread, focaccia pizzas etc all homemade excellent choice of beers and wines !!/

Food and Wine Festival of Mendrisiotto.

Dinner with friends during a rainy weekend. Nice and comfortable environment. We ate some of the dishes of the Mendrisiotto Food and Wine Festival accompanied by a good glass of red wine. Staff very nice and helpful. It was a very pleasant evening that we will definitely repeat.

When you want, with whom you want

I returned this year after the new management. I was very happy and I was fine, from drinking just a coffee to dinner on August 15. Capable cook, lovable waiters and new eye-catching management. It also offers rooms. large summer and spring terrace. Thursday aperitif-dinner and live music.

Bad

We chose this hotel on our way home as a quiet place to rest with our baby. Unfortunately, it was the absolute
Disaster.
When we arrived, we were given a room on the terrace right next to the restaurant where an event was just being prepared. We asked for another room on the quieter side, but we could not be offered another. The room was unbearably hot as there was no air conditioning. The loud music and celebrations continued until 2 a.m.
Despite several complaints on our part, we were simply ignored by the owner. For the high price we paid for the room, the night was an absolute disaster.
I strongly advise against booking this small hotel – especially if you are looking for peace and quiet
