We had a 4 night stay in Vevey. Staff are so helpful and lovely. Room was well maintained and we had a wonderful stay. Would stay here again

⚠️ THREATS, INSULTS, AND DISCRIMINATION BY THE MANAGER! ABSOLUTELY AVOID!|Rating: 1/5

What happened at this hotel goes beyond anything one could imagine. After a disastrous stay (suffocating heat enough to cause an asthma attack, deplorable hygiene, dirty sheets, scalding sink water), the manager asked me to contact him by phone to "resolve the problem."
This phone call was a nightmare: this man was aggressive, contemptuous, and dangerous. He showed discrimination and racism by questioning me about my origins, insulted me by calling me "suicidal" because of my asthma, mocked the scalding water problems, and threatened me by claiming to have "journalist friends who would be happy to destroy me." He also claimed to be "a close friend" of the Tourist Office to intimidate his guests.
This establishment is not only unsanitary and dangerous to one's health, but its management displays behavior that is unworthy, aggressive, and hateful toward its guests. Avoid this place!

Title: A dangerous nightmare for health. Unacceptable!
We stayed (or rather survived) one night in this establishment in Vevey with my partner, and it was an absolutely traumatic experience.
The heat in the room was so stifling and humid that it was impossible for us to stay there. As an asthmatic, this situation severely affected my health. To be honest, we had to wander the streets until 5 a.m. just to be able to breathe. To grab a few minutes of sleep, we had to cover ourselves with wet clothes soaked in cold water. It's a shame! One could literally die of heat in this place. After reading other comments following our nightmare stay, I realized that this problem has persisted for years. How can such a hotel still be open to the public?
To top it all off, the infrastructure is in a deplorable state:
Deplorable hygiene: Hair in the bed and a dirty bathroom.
Extreme dilapidation: Everything is old and poorly maintained.
Plumbing issue: The water from the sink came out boiling, making it impossible to cool off.
The only "positive" point (if one can say) is the kindness of the reception staff. Unfortunately, they leave the premises starting at 9:00 PM, leaving you completely on your own in the face of disaster.
One cannot even call this place a "hotel." It is a public danger, and it is unacceptable that it continues to operate with impunity. Do not make the mistake of setting foot there!

Wet basic hôtel. Staff was really nice but it was really warm inside the room and quite noisy as the market was just down the road. The bed was average.
