We had a great stay at Hotel Continental Zermatt. The hotel allowed an early check‑in at around 10:30, which was incredibly convenient after arriving in town. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the train station and close to the main streets, making it easy to explore Zermatt without needing transport.
The room was spacious for a couple and came with a lovely balcony. We were lucky to have a clear view of the Matterhorn right from our room, which made the stay even more memorable. Breakfast was decent with enough variety to start the day well.
The hotel also provides a luggage storage facility, which allowed us to check out and still explore Zermatt freely without carrying our bags. Overall, the staff were friendly, the room was clean, and considering the location and amenities, the stay offered great value for money.
A solid choice for travellers looking for comfort, convenience, and beautiful views.

Location: it is a five minute walk from train station, Gornergrat gograil, seconds from shops, restaurants, and bars.
Wifi was very good
Breakfast is continental but very good. There is no hot foods ie bacon, eggs etc.
Has a large safe
Large private balcony
Elevator (which is not always the case in Europe)
Cons
Rooms are not very big (common in Europe)
Beds are rock hard. My back was killing me by the end of our stay)
Pillows very flimsy
Lock is opened and locked by a key (outside and INSIDE the room)
You get only one key meaning if the room mates separate during the day you need to get together since only one of you will have a key,
No bar fridge in every room.
It is obviously a ski hotel, rug was grey, not sure if it was or from years of dirt.

there was no fan or ac and the cement patio radiated heat into our room all night. very
unfortunate. room was old and needs an update. bed was good! Bathroom nice.

The room was comfortable and clean, conveniently located close to the main street and the train station.
As I arrived in Zermatt without a reservation, hoping to escape the heat of the lowlands, I happened to meet Mrs. Chrisanthi, at check-in desk, who immediately offered me a room. After a long day of hiking, I was quite tired, and she kindly helped me set up the Wi-Fi on my iPhone, completed the check-in process for me, and even gave me a small welcome chocolate. Many thanks to her, and my warmest regards.
The room was carpeted, and the bathroom was a little dated but clean. The terrace was shared with other hotel guests. Breakfast was served in a rustic-style dining room at another hotel and was unfortunately, not very well ventilated . But at the end, even if it is a little too expensive, it was my best night of sleep, since days !
