Prime location - hospitality in a historic hotel with modern comfort

My wife and I spent one night at the historic Hotel Zofingen from Saturday to Sunday, during the summer vacation period, and were very positively surprised. Our room 303 with a view of a large square in the middle of the beautiful old town was spacious. The bathroom was even extraordinarily large. Everything was very clean. We were particularly impressed by the very fluffy, good-smelling terry cloth towels. Our bed was a bit too soft, but the sleeping comfort was good.
The welcome by a young woman at the reception was very warm. Despite low hotel occupancy, we were able to enjoy an excellent breakfast on Sunday morning. The location of this well-maintained hotel in the middle of the old town is excellent. Paid parking spaces are available in large numbers around the hotel.

Wiener Schnitzel

This review pertains only to the restaurant that advertises the Wiener Schnitzel. It is good! With excellent vegetable side dishes that often, unfortunately, are missing. The location in the beer garden in summer is top-notch. I found the price to be a bit high, despite the great food.

Food OK, Service underground

This is a review of the restaurant visit, not hotel.
The food was good, not very good as we were used to.
The Service was unfortunately poor underground. Lack of skilled workers?
The aperitif Service a bit strange. Forgot half of the drink.
Then no bread served with salad. Also not asked if you want some.
Main course was ok.
The two scoops of sorbet were each served without a spoon. It wasn't until we asked that they were brought in.
It’s a pity that the staff are not in control of the Service and have “thrown” everything onto the table.

Super

Very friendly welcome. Seasonal menu. The food very fine. Also, on warm days it is also an excellent place to have an aperitif on the seat outside.
