4 stars feels like a stretch as a hotel class, but I very much enjoyed this stay considering its price and the size of the room. I will say that the whole building has a very old vibe to it that Lailai is a part of and doesn't really hide, so it doesn't feel as clean as one may expect from a "4 star". Staff are super friendly though and the free gym access is an amazing perk.

My first room had visible black mold, including areas where the mold had been covered by wall paper. It smelled horribly but having arrived from the US I was too exhausted to ask for a new room the first night. I was politely moved to a different room the next day & supplied with a dehumidifier. It was an improvement but even running constantly it was never less than 65% humidity & musty smell. Despite the kindness of the staff, I wouldn’t recommend because of the issues with mold & mildew.

They did a great job cleaning my room each day, and location was busy but very connected. Loved the bathtub + how cold you can make the room. Would stay again.

Clean room, nice hotel staff, delicious breakfast! You must bring your own bar of soap and any other amenities you would need. Only body wash, shampoo & conditioner are provided. We stayed in the family suite which was three separate living spaces, also with two toilets, and one bath/shower. It was a spacious room and a lovely stay!! Thank you Lai Lai!
