Food n service excellent

Walked into the restaurant without reservation but managed to get a table. The girls were amazing. Spoke English n service was wonderful. Veg food didn't taste better anywhere than here. Left the place with stomach...err heart's content. Must visit.

Average hotel

It's quiet around the hotel so don't expect a bustling city life around the location (or Hualien for that matter). Room is newly renovated but very dusty. I was scratching non stop when I first entered the room and had to request for room changes and cleaning before I can sleep. Breakfast is average.
Staff is fast and responsive to our feedback however so kudos to that.

Excellent hotel for a good rest after a day of travel

Fairly new hotel situated at a quiet area near the Hualien Port. The room and washroom are fairly big, clean and tidy; and completed with all the basic and necessary amenities. My wife and I like the shower in the bathroom very much; very fine and powerful jets of water, and hot water in abundant supply.
Our room overlook the beautiful Hualien Port, and we have a good rest that night as the area was really quite with very light traffic at night.
The staff was friendly and helpful especially the Mr. Lim who carried out friendly chats in English with us and other guests in the restaurant during the breakfast time. The breakfast spread was like most of the other Taiwan hotels of the same class; however, the espresso from coffee machine was wonderful.
The hotel is only about 10 minutes walk from a red lookout bridge that spanned over railway tracks near the Hualien Port. Above the bridge you can have a good view of the beautiful port and the far way mountain ranges. My wife and I walked over there for a quick tour before the 7 am breakfast time.
Hualien Lohas Hotel is a hotel I will consider to stay if I ever come back to Hualien again.

Friendly staffs and decent hotel

Staffs are friendly and overall the hotel is pretty new and the room is in pristine condition.
Room are spacious and equipped with basic toiletries amenities. The rooms are clean and the bed is comfortable. The hotel also provide free bicycle for their guests.
The hotel serves typical Taiwanese breakfast buffet – porridge, noodles with the assortment of side dishes and condiments and the restaurant even has a pretty decent coffee machine.
Overall, it is a pleasant stay for us.
