I was initially skeptical due to some negative reviews, but decided to book as I needed a hotel close to the metro while traveling solo. Thankfully, my experience was nothing like the reviews. The room was clean and in good condition — no bed bugs at all. The staff were friendly, and the room was spacious enough for me. its just few steps away from boulevard station, and theres night market everynight. convenience store just right next to the hotel which is perfect. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Kaohsiung.

the building is a bit old,worth pricing.
infront of the hotel we can find night market.
not noisy at night.
the room is not that clean but ok.

Sunnyside Hotel offers a great location that’s perfect for travelers. It’s situated right in front of the night market, yet the area isn’t too busy, so you can enjoy both convenience and a peaceful stay.
There are plenty of amenities nearby, including Cosmed, Poya, and several convenience stores, all within walking distance. The hotel is also just a short walk from Boulevard Station, making it easy to get around the city or head to the airport.
Overall, a very practical and comfortable place to stay with everything you need close by.
