the worst hotel stay experince in my life

We flew from Boston to Taipei and arrived at Papersun hotel around moon local time. My 85 year old father walking with cane was completed exhausted after 20 hour flight and we just need to check in hotel to take shower and rest for a few hours. The front office clerks said only one room is avaliable and he other room wont be ready until check in time at 3:00 pm local time. I told her that we can check in one room to let my 85 year old father rest first. She said she needed to get approval front desk manager first. After 5 min she said we can only check in when both rooms are ready . After 30 min, i saw front desk manager showed up and tried to reason with him why we cannot check in one room first, he told me with cold look that hotel policy is to check in when both rooms are available - i travelled on business for 20 years and stayed in many different brands of hotels hut never heard of this policy. In the end, he said he had upgrade rooms avaliable and coild check us in with additional money. We were completed exhausted and and very angry with the front desk manage atttitude to force us taking the ipgrade rooms for additinal charges of $NT 1300. My old father had very hight expectation of Taiwan trip but was completed ruined on the first experience with local people. dont stay in this hotel if you have other choices.!!

The breakfast is served in the restaurant next to the hotel and it offers 4 choices only which include one choice for kids. The location is convenient, which is within walking distance to MRT Shilin station. The room size is quite small. The price is reasonable considering its location. However, I don't recommend it for family traveling with baby due to its small room space.

Good practical address

Free parking to ask at the hotel directly opposite. Classic room. Breakfast with choice of 3 courses right next door. Convenient to be north of Taipei with a car. Welcome in English. Classic room.

Appreciate the paper creative with this hotel.

Converted from a dormitory used to house the workers of a paper company.
So do anticipate noise from your surrounding inside your room. They do provide you with the earplug if you need.
The room is spacious than I would expecting, with a sofa in front of the bed. There’s also a balcony but without any view, as my room is facing the school in front of it.
For those who like a hot shower may have to take note that it won’t come immediately. The hot water will take time to come out, unfortunately.
But I love the paper artworks and drawing that they have put in my room.
