Very convenient

I was here for two nights. It was interesting to read some of the other reviews here . . . my room was quite large, bright, spotlessly clean, quiet, and comfortable. Maybe some rooms have been renovated, and others not? In any case, I was very happy with the room.
The room had a very comfortable reading chair, a good workdesk area, and a large and modern bathroom with a tub/shower combination. It probably is worth paying a bit of extra money to get a partial-view room, as I did; otherwise you will be looking at the wall of the building next door, or into someone's office.
I chose this hotel primarily because of its proximity to the Taipei train station (easy access to the airport train), and for that it served about as well as any hotel could. The Taipei station is so huge that it's impossible to avoid having to walk some distance from any hotel to the train platform, but this is about as close as you can get. The walk to the Airport train terminal was about 5 minutes. The hotel also has great access to the subway (exits 4-6 of the train station).
A great extra was the laundry room. Also helpful was the fact that the hotel has a 24-hour reception, useful if you have an early flight to catch or are coming in late from the airport. They also will store luggage if you arrive before your checkin time.
I can't comment on the breakfast, as I was leaving very early on both days and didn't take breakfast here.
The only downside to this hotel, for me, was the sad state of the hallway carpets. They should be replaced as soon as possible. However, that was a minor quibble in a good stay here.

Avoid stay at Skyline 19.

Please avoid Skyline 19, you will regret to stay there. I stayed in a room that had dead bugs in the blanket and hair in the bedsheet. The door of the room has bullet holes. The bathroom was so outdated that I felt like I was a homeless. When I complained to the the staff, they were unwilling to help, very unpleasant. This was the worst decision I ever made for the trip.

Location - opposite the Taipei station. Just above the shopping complex. All is great, free laundry with soap, clean room and free water and tea. Great stay. Common lounge with free coffee, cooking facilities and fridge

Room is clean, kitchen has bare essentials. However the beds are extremely firm; not comfortable. Hard to find entrances initially.
