The perfect place to rest

More than rooms, real apartments where everything is planned to cook. Just go shopping for fruits and vegetables and get to know the local life. Beach 200m. A sea of breathtaking beauty. Elisa is very considerate and organizes all excursions. Villa in which one feels perfectly safe with a beautiful swimming pool and a very beautiful tropical environment.

Hidden Gem !

I had an absolutely incredible stay at Mkunguni Villas! From the moment I arrived, every need was catered to with care and attention. The personal grocery shopping and transportation services made everything so convenient and stress-free.
The pool was simply amazing—clean, refreshing, and the perfect place to relax. Elisa, the owner, went above and beyond to ensure my stay was enjoyable and memorable. Her hospitality was exceptional.
A special mention to Evelyn, who cleaned daily and made sure I was comfortable and well taken care of throughout my stay.
Mkunguni Villas is truly a hidden gem, and I can’t wait to return. Highly recommended!

Private apartment with beautiful garden and pool

Comfortable apartment with air conditioning, kitchen, bathroom, fridge, terrace and lots of services (Wi-Fi, laundry, shopping etc.)
The host is super helpful and will assist in basically everything needed. The house is situated in second row to the beach, you can walk there within 2 minutes.

Mkunguni Villas, a beautiful and comfortable home away from home in Zanzibar!

Head to Mkunguni Villas if you are looking for a beautiful home during your time in Bwejuu! The apartment I stayed in was aesthetically pleasing, comfortable and fully equipped. Large windows allow the soft sunlight to filter in during the day, giving the place a warm glow. I made many meals in the kitchen and enjoyed the refrigerator that is kept well-stocked.
The owner and manager, Elisa, is extremely attentive, communicative, professional and kind. Pre-empting what visitors may need, be it food, activities or information, Elisa was prepared to guide and help me procure whatever I needed even before my arrival! This was particularly helpful given the late hour at which I arrived and my limited knowledge of the area--she saved me a lot of effort and time, allowing me to allocate those to the enjoyment of my vacation.
Mkunguni villas themselves are safe, well-situated a couple of minutes from the beach and even has a pool in a serene backyard, if one prefers some peace and quiet. The apartments are cleaned daily and staff are friendly and helpful.
I would surely visit again and highly recommend Mkunguni Villas to those visiting Zanzibar!

Oasis with sustainable touch

Mkunguni Villas is a perfect place for a short or longer stay in beautiful Zanzibar. The place is very well designed with local touches; it very comfortable to stay in and enjoy your time off. Elisa’s villa is in a quiet neighborhood, and you will be able to relax in peace. The villa has a lovely, sweet water swimming pool as shown on the photos, but for fans of the sea, the beach is 5 min walk from the doorstep.
We enjoyed great hospitality; Elisa is a top host!
It is also necessary to mention, that Elisa and her team put a great effort to deliver a state of art environmentally friendly building & enterprise. This is expressed in use of local materials, bringing tradition and modernity into architectural design and interior applications, water conservation while using grey water for watering of the amazing & wild greenery in the garden, creating new workplaces for local community. If you are environmentally aware and want to support making the difference while enjoying time off, this is the spot to pick!
