A very nice place, a nice bungalow on the beach (we were lucky to be upgraded!), nice staff, well maintained pool, a dream beach... nothing was missing.
A nice area to enjoy...we loved spending 3 nights here.

Denial of lodge services

This is the fourth time I have stayed in this lodge, attracted by its intimate and simple setting, its magnificent views of the pool and the sea, as well as the warm welcome of the owners. However, despite the changes in ownership or management each time, this time the experience is far from what I experienced before, which is deeply disappointing. The atmosphere, once so pleasant, is no longer there, with the exception of Rashid, loyal and always professional staff.
The welcome is non-existent: no one to receive you on arrival or departure, leaving you to yourself. You have to look for the manager, often absent, to manage the subjects. Food service is also very slow at dinners, and it also gives the impression that the establishment prioritizes the comfort of new managers over that of guests. Attention to the well-being of customers is sorely lacking.
In addition, although the dining area is open, the presence of smokers disturbs other guests. The deckchairs are in a dismal state: broken, dirty. Last time 2 years ago, I described this lodge as "my amazing place" with a score of 10/10, this lodge unfortunately no longer deserves this title today.

No money back, even though it was a huge construction site. Unfortunately, Driftwood didn't keep his promise

We had booked the Driftwood and arrived when an extreme flood destroyed the entire beach and pool area. We had booked 2 bungalows but could not move into them as they were not finished. We didn't even get a free drink for this. Then we asked the manager if we could cancel as the construction site was very noisy and no pool available. We've been assured of that. Now we've been waiting for our money for four months. At first they wanted to give us half back but eventually nothing more. I will now give this to the lawyer. For me, the behavior is absolutely outrageous. I can only warn you about the Driftwood.

Thieves

Money stolen from the room while we were away.
The establishment did nothing to find the culprit nor made any commercial gesture. They also tried to dissuade us from filing a police report.
When paying they also inflated all the bills by doubling the prices displayed at the restaurant.
They were supposed to contact us again before we left the island but it was just another lie.
Watch out for theft!

Highly recommended!

Very relaxed and friendly. I had fantastic days in great surroundings. You can walk for hours, enjoy the beach and the water, or a dip in the pool and read many books. Or simply just be.
The bungalow was great and waking up and falling to sleep to the sound of waves and the view to the oscean is magic. The food was very good and do not leave before you have tried the lobster at least one time!
I will return! Thank you for a great stay!
