Worth every bit of effort to get there

This restaurant was simply amazing. The climb up is steep and definitely not for the faint-hearted, but the breathtaking views and exceptional food make every step worthwhile. Every dish was exquisite. By Tanzanian standards it’s probably on the expensive side, but it’s absolutely worth every penny.

A Charming and Welcoming Stay

We stayed at Edelwyss Inn for a full week during the Christmas and the New Year and we had a truly lovely experience.
The property has a special charm, with thoughtful details throughout that make it feel warm, personal, and inviting rather than like a generic hotel. We were especially grateful for the extra room, which made our stay very comfortable, particularly as a family.
The staff are one of the Inn’s greatest strengths, genuinely kind, caring, and attentive. Our children became very fond of several of the ladies, which says a lot about the welcoming atmosphere.
A small but memorable highlight was being served homemade cookies with our coffee such a lovely, personal touch that made us feel truly welcomed.
Overall, Edelwyss Inn is a beautiful, character-filled place with heart, and we would happily return and recommend it to others looking for a relaxed and charming stay.

Fabulous - safe, spotlessly clean, great food, so welcoming

This was our second stay at Edelwyss Hotel and we can’t rate it highly enough. All facilities are spotless, all bedrooms are fully mosquito-netted, with secure doors and windows.
The food is really great : a great choice of Tanzanian, European - and Swiss fondues!
The views are fabulous across the valley and to the mountains beyond.
Great walks up the mountain, and within an hour of a great national park.
The owner and staff could not be more welcoming, accommodating and helpful.
They truly are an amazing team and we are happy to be returning in October 2025 for our third stay

Great food!

Very nice location, great food and great Service. Very nice, large and clean rooms! TOP!!! Everything was really great. Lots of nice places within the hotel. Highly recommended!

Best stay in Morogoro

A wonderful little hotel in the mountains above Morogoro. Top rooms with air conditioning, good restaurant, extremely friendly service. Clear Recommendation! Many details are very lovingly put together and designed to a high standard. Gladly again❤️
