Perfect stay!
Very nice place to stay. We decided to spend time in the Paje Lounge because of our plan to take marriage in Zanzibar. We were so much suprised how helpful to us were people from this place. They hepled us to organize everything while we werent sure how to do all, prepared wonderfull decoration and cooked so delicious food! Place to celebrate our wedding after the ceremony was ideal also for our guests,to invite and enjoy. Thanks a lot to the owner and personnel for all what they did for us! We were deeply pleased and honelstly happy about our choice where to stay and decision to celebrate at exactly this place. That could not be better! :). Julie and Maiko.

Excellent little place!
Stayed at Paje Lounge on the recommendation of Tripadvisor and very glad we did! Paje Lounge is situated a maximum of 5 minutes walk away from the beach.
The rooms are very basic but clean and equipped with mosquito nets, ceiling fan and en-suite bathroom (not sure if there is an en-suite with all rooms). The shower didn’t have hot water but we didn’t find this an issue as it’s so hot! You have to remember this is a budget option for Paje and significantly cheaper than other hotels/lodges in the area and is definite value for money!
Included in the price is the tourists taxes that we found other places in Zanzibar charge on top of room rates. It also includes an excellent breakfast of a plate of fresh fruit and then your choice of an omelette or pancakes which were both very tasty! Tea/Coffee and Juice (!!) are included also. We also had an evening meal which was very nice as well. I have posted a photo of the eating area which is really nice and relaxed with music playing. There is slow WiFi and it is very on/off however the staff will not stop until they get it working again.
Last but not least the owner and his staff are exceptional and very accommodating. They will do anything to make you feel welcome! This is a very relaxed place where nothing is a problem and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here - thank you Paje Lounge!

Warm host in Paje
Specially Abu and another employee welcome you warm and helpfull.
Lounge is clean, breakfast good and close to the beach by walking around 5 min. For single accomodation is realy enough and well. Quite and relax garden.

Your home in Paje
Paje Lounge is my favorite place to be in Paje Beach, and I've had time to experience many options. Paje Lounge will be your home away from home, with friendly accommodating staff, comfortable rooms, a great open-air seating area, delicious food, and good vibes all around.
Paje Lounge is located off the beach but you still have sand in your toes (in fact, no shoes are required in Zanzibar!). It takes about 5 minutes to walk to the beach, where you'll be closest to the happening Jambo Bar (parties every Friday night) and a pleasant 10 minute walk down to restaurants like Mr Kahawa. Paje Lounge is next to the Seaweed Center and near other hotels and guest houses but the area is quiet and peaceful.
For food, you cannot beat the staff chefs at Paje Lounge. Breakfast is provided each morning (coffee, tea, fresh fruits, toast, your choice of eggs) and you enjoy seated in comfortable couches and chairs in an open-air dining space. A full menu is available for other meals, though I prefer to ask the chefs to prepare the catch of the day (fish, prawns, calimari, etc) with local flavors. Every meal I've taken at Paje Lounge has left me happily satisfied.
A variety of rooms are available on the property, most have ensuite bathrooms but not all. Showers in Zanzibar rarely provided heated water but you will not miss it as the warm climate keeps water tanks luke warm and the cooler shower feels great after a day in the sun. The rooms are equipped with large beds and mosquito nets, usually a side table and some have seating chairs. Ceiling fans make the nights more comfortable. Personally, I prefer one of the rooms in the main house or around back as the two rooms directly next to the dining space don't afford a high level of privacy.
The staff will assist you to arrange excursions around the island or taxis to/fom the airport or Stonetown and generally can help you with whatever you need. Or, if you want to lay low, curl up on a coach or hammock with a book for a few hours or talk into the night with local staff and other travelers from around the globe.
If you're looking for a comfortable, friendly, value for money place to stay in Paje, then Paje Lounge is definitely your place.

Nice place to be :-)
Great Place to stay. Good breakfast. Close to the Beach.
The staff was friendly and helpfull, help us ordring a taxi back to Stone town, we got too Wash some clothes there.
Some of the staff did not talk so much English so it was difficult to get understood. But it went okay.
a lot of insects, but thy took care about it :-)
