Loved this property and the staff. We had a situation with our rental car and they had a staff member walk to where we had parked the car and he actually drove our rental car back to the hotel and then called the guy we rented the car from and asked him to come by the hotel to pick up the car. I think that was above and beyond and we truly appreciated the extra time and help.

Overall the staff was nice and the place is decent but I booked a Seaview room only to be told when I arrived that the described seaview room is actually a poolview room... I was not offered an alternative.

The hotel is absolutely incredible, especially if you arrives in Stonetown by ferry boat, because it is very close.
But much more than that, the hotel is nestled in a wonderful former palace , from when you have a wonderful sea view.
And the rooms??? What rooms !!!!
Come to Mizingani, the most wonderful hotel in Stonetown!

Great for Stone Town

A very nice historic hotel in the heart of the Stone Town. We had a lovely room overlooking the harbour. The hotel is a former mansion filled with beautiful antiques. The only let downs were the coffee at breakfast and the lack of a bar.

Room: 7 (everything worked well, though a little older)

We stayed here for just one night before our flight home, and it was a fascinating, historical experience.
