Lovely riverside stay

My husband and I enjoyed our first night in Ayutthaya at this lovely property. We had an ensuite courtyard room which was large and beautifully furnished. Breakfast was included in our room rate and was more than adequate. All the staff were very friendly. The location by the riverside was very relaxing. Night-time views of the pool and temples across the river were magical.
All in all, good value for money considering the location.

Disappointed - but the room and view was really nice

We had 2 nights in a Riverside Lower Terrace Double. The room was fine and the view superb - all the hallmarks of a good stay.
However - let down by the public facilities - almost non-existent. The breakfast was really poor - no real choices - just a cold plate of sliced fruits (no choice of fruit - same for every diner/every day) and the hot plates were barely hot after a sedentary service - took an hour each day. The pool and verandah had suffered from a river flood a few weeks earlier BUT the clear up was as sedentary as the breakfast service! Sandbags had the be climbed over to get to the room; the pool was out-of-service; and the terrace was in disarray.
The upside was our room and view - and the nice dinners available in the hotel next door. Only worth 3 stars - but they could up their game easily if they really wanted 5 stars.

Great boutique hotel

I had a great time at the hotel. It is a small hotel with excellent service. The staff is amazing, they really help you with all you need. Breakfast has a small buffet and à la carte menu. Everything is fresh. The pool area is also small, but very well manicured and the view is amazing. It really feels more like a home than a hotel. My room was spotless and modern.
I was under the impression that it was closer to the temples, but it is a good 25 minute walk instead. That’s fine with me, but just something to consider. To be fair, I don’t think I saw any hotel closer to the park. Or at least none with the same star rating. I would recommend staying overnight in Ayutthaya! In particular over the weekend, so that you can enjoy the night markets.

Great location & staff. Hotel in need of refurbishing

Our first room, Constantine Phaulkon, was spacious and light, but my goodness it was in need of a refurb. There was no storage other than limited hanging space. The light behind the bed flashed continuously and couldn’t be turned off. There were no bedside lights to read by. The shower head wouldn’t stay up, so the floor flooded, and the basin didn’t drain. The staff did what they could to put things right, some could not be rectified.
So we moved to a different room for the second and third nights. The new room was lovely. Even larger than the first, with its own veranda. Lots of storage. Two basins and a separate toilet. The staff brought in bedside lights.
Breakfast was very good. There is a pool and a seating area overlooking the river, with a view across to Wat Phra Nakhon Si, which is beautifully illuminated at night.
We were told that the hotel is to close for refurbishment early in 2026. We hope that this will result in a property of a standard that matches the prices charged.
The staff were very helpful (especially Nisa and Mae) and did their best to deal with our requests.

Disappointing

Welcoming barely kind on the arrival of a young woman who explains nothing right tells us that our room is not ready.
Bikes loaned by the hotel outdated and dangerous on the roads with cars.
Garden view room allocated almost without windows on the outside, in fact a small glass strip with blinds on the side facing the reception so without privacy.
Great room but without charm.
pool but with a very slippery submerged wooden staircase whose ramp has disappeared but magnificent view of the pool on the temple on the other side.
Decent breakfast.
Check out very kind by a young man.
