A magical treat

If you want a truly magical experience, stay in the Hornbill Tented Villa with a private pool. The staff at Koyao Island Resort are amazing, and the service is truly top-notch. The views from your private pool are absolutely stunning, and our breakfast—beautifully served with every detail thoughtfully considered—was unforgettable. The floating breakfast in the pool was definitely a highlight. We didn’t see anywhere else on the island that even came close. The location is fantastic!

Not worth the exorbitant price, especially for vegetarians!

Definitely not worth the price :( quite a beautiful location, perched ontop of the mountainside, but the view was marred by a big abandoned construction site! It is also advertised as an adults only property, but for using the facilities, breakfast at the restauarant etc, you have to go down to the main hotel premises which is not adults only.
The main disappointment is that the vegetarian food selection is very limited (despite emailing them in advance our dietary requirements).. and even after reaching there, the chef was (politely) unable to accomodate us. We first thought, maybe thats because it is quite a remote island (which is why we chose it), but then just a 7-10 min walk down the road, theres a lovely cafe, Chaba cafe, that had so many vegetarian AND vegan varities... all local fresh fruits and vegetables!!!
For the exorbitant price charged, we definitely expected more in terms of service and quality of food... which we also spoke to the manager before leaving. He was understanding, and I hope changes have been made since then!

Breathtaking views, amazing hotel service and quality.

The luxury glamping experience is phenomenal. The view is breathtaking. Private pool is perfect with the view. We spent hours just staring into the horizon.
Given you’re away from reception, they are very quick to respond and bring you exactly what you need. They message you on WhatsApp which is very smart and quick.
This is really one of the best hotels i’ve stayed at.
If you want a retreat with your partner, this is the go to.

It was good though the pool needs a scrub and one night there was music blasting until 11pm.

Exclusive and relaxing stay

We had a wonderful stay at this resort. The staff clearly put a lot of effort into making guests feel welcome and well taken care of. With only a limited number of rooms, the atmosphere feels intimate and calm rather than busy.
We stayed in one of the tented accommodations, which came with a private pool and offered complete seclusion — perfect for a peaceful and luxurious getaway.
