Deflagged from Radisson Chain to GHA Chain

I booked this hotel when it was still branded as Park Plaza hotel under the Radisson hotel chain. After I made my reservation, it was suddenly deflagged and rebranded as NH hotel which is part of Global Hotel Alliance (GHA). I informed them that I also have GHA Titanium status and thankfully they agreed to extend the benefits which includes double category room upgrade and they kept the same room rate. In terms of upgrade, Radisson is normally more generous than GHA because they can upgrade members of the top tier (VIP) to suites, unlike GHA, but at this particular hotel it does not matter so much because the hotel does not have suites anyway. I was upgraded to a corner room which was fine for a hotel of this caliber.
The other main difference between Radisson and GHA is that Radisson gives free breakfast for VIP tier while GHA does not give it to Titanium except a handful of brands which NH is not part of. To the hotel's credit though, they gave me free breakfast for this stay and the quality was decent. Going forward though, I would see the change in hotel chain as a moderate negative due to losing out on on the breakfast benefit and it will decrease the value proposition for me. So while the hotel was not bad by any stretch of the imagination, I would hesitate a bit before returning as there are lots of choices in Bangkok.

Great location, excellent staff, very good value

The location is very convenient: only a few hundred meters from Asok skytrain and Sukhumvit subway stations, Terminal 21, and three grocery stores. The staff is friendly, helpful and professional. Smokers in the pool area were a nuisance. Aircon is a bit noisy.

The hotel isn't new. The building wall can tell is not fresh looks.
The service from the bell boy given a vert detail about the room switch and the bathroom usage.
This hotel just need about 10 mins walk can reach Terminal 21 shopping mall and Askoe BTS.
Nearby have a few shop for foot massage and a café. But during at night try not to walk alone back to hotel.

Good location with the nice breakfast in Sukhumvit

Staff are nice. Good location with the nice breakfast in Sukhumvit. All facility is quite old but still fine for me to stay close to the Sukhumvit
