Poste 43 Welcomes You

Arrived after long day and half journey from LAX and horrible flight between PVG and BKK. Expected Thai Taxi to take VISA but no. Hotel paid taxi and check us in around 10pm. Hoped for 2 beds but booked a second room. Poste 43 in secluded part of town onky 5-10minute tuk tuk drive to Patphong, River and 5minute walk to Skytrain is conveinent. Staff is helpful but talk slowly and may need to use translator. No issue bringing guest back to hotel. Walkimg street has cheap food but limited restaurants nearby more of Indian Arabic area for living. Rooms were great and couldnt beat the deal. Due to Kings passing Bangkok shut down early. Do most of your shopping in Phuket or Pattaya.

City budget hotel

Budget hotel no restaurant, but there is street food and small cafe in this street. Near to mosque, temple and church. Many jewel shops around especially silver jewellery wholesale and retail shops. No ventilation in toilet. Receptionist guy rude and no manner. Good location inside city. Crowded and heavy traffic area. Many traffic lights, getting taxi is easy and reaching destination will long hours due to lots of traffic signals. Malls and Jewellery Trade Centre is nearby. Indira square is 20mins distance in tuk tuk. Bike riders available in street corner.

So I had to stay in this hotel due to it’s proximity to my work place in Bangkok. I was booked the Poste Deluxe Residence Room.
The room was big and spacious. And then, all that’s good just ended there. Oh ok, to be fair, the wifi strength was quite strong.
I had problems with the safe (it’s those old fashioned ones with a key that I had to carry out with me and I have no idea how to change the pin because there was no instruction).
The aircon barely kept the room chill despite setting it at 18 Deg C.
When I woke up, my aircon leaked and the area under the aircon, which was also the TV was wet. Hazardous!!!
On the 2nd night, I was woken up by our noises at 2.30am. I realised it was from the aircon. Upon closer inspection, the aircon was spurting out ice cubes!!!!! First time I ever encountered aircon spurting out ice cubes!
Check in and out was smooth although I had to ask for an official receipt after payment for claim purposes.
For the same price, I think you can get a better accommodation elsewhere. Take it only if the location is right for you.

Small but good

The locate is ideal area for connectivity to the river as well as Silom street and the Metro. The rooms and such are well done, although some are missing safes that are easy to function, wish they had these within the rooms.
The staff does a great job to take care of the guests.

The hotel is in the alley at the intersection, the hotel is not very big but the room space of the hotel is quite big.
