Loved it, only frustrating thing was people smoking in the corner of the pool area + very few sunbeds.

Checked in and got a vague direction to the room. There are 2 parts to the hotel with 2 different lifts. We went to the wrong lift section and no one said anything. We were obviously struggling and there were lots of staff around and no one offered to help. Not a great start.
Got to the room. We had a twin room. The beds were small doubles, which was good. The beds were comfortable and linens clean. The towels were not good quality. The shower was nice. The room was not large but sufficient. The main problem with the room was the bathroom door. It was a very heavy sliding door that was not fixed to the runners so you had to really shove it to open and shut it. This made it very difficult to open and close. I reported it to reception and they said it would be fixed. It was not.
The pool was nice and refreshing and it made the stay more pleasant. I have no idea how they decide how much to charge. The first day we had a virgin mojito and normal mojito. It cost 330baht. The second day we had a virgin mojito and a small Chang beer, this cost 500baht!
The airport transfer was very expensive; to be met at the airport it was over 2000 baht. When we enquired about a transfer to leave it was 500baht!
The breakfast was nice and recommended if it is included in your room rate. Otherwise it is 900baht!
The location is convenient for the BTS but would be difficult to get there and back with large luggage.

We arrived very early and was understandably not able to check in. However, it did not feel like they tried to make an effort to give us the rooms any earlier than 15:00. We informed the staff that we had been travelling for almost 20 hours and was very tired. With 3 kids I was hoping for more friendliness.
When we got to our rooms, the room for the kids was not made ready with three beds. I had to remind them 4 times and the house-keeping staff was not very friendly.
The bathtub was not working and the sliding door to the bathroom stopped working. This was fixed quite fast.
The location of the hotel was perfect for us. Close to many good restaurants, shopping, MRT and BTS. The dinner-restaurant at the hotel was also very good.

Beautiful hotel in a good location for exploring Bangkok. High end facilities and the staff are just the best, if I was trying to find a fault it’s the wet towels left on the ground outside the lobby every time it’s rained. It lets down the beautiful look of the hotel.
