An unforgettable Suket Thai experience
This stay was the second time I chose Bangkok Sukhoithai, and it was the last memorable experience of Bangkok Sukhoithai that allowed me to experience another Sukhoithai hotel - Shanghai Sukhoithai - some time ago.
It was also because of the unforgettable experience of Shanghai Sukaitai that I continued to choose to return to Bangkok this time.
As an SLH member hotel and GHA member hotel, whether you are a Hilton Honors member, Global Discovery Tour member or SLH loyalty program member, you can book Sukhothai Bangkok through your favorite loyalty program and enjoy the exclusive benefits of this loyalty program.
This check-in was booked through the GHA channel and was part of the GHA 2026 Brand Collection - a $100D$ cashback for two consecutive nights (which ended on May 31, 2026).
As a member of GHA Titanium, you can book an executive room type and check-in directly to the Executive Building. You will get the room type upgraded to an executive terrace room; breakfast is available in either the lounge or restaurant.
The staff at the lounge are professional and meticulous, with every employee smiling.
I highly recommend buying lounge benefits, as breakfast is semi-self-serve, afternoon tea is plentiful and happy hours are beyond big groups like Marriott or Hilton.
At the same time, Sukhothai's custom tea bags are also very good, especially Mango Green Tea and Sukohthai Tea.

Great hotel with new spa
Very nice hotel with great pool area and new spa. Breakfast is exceptionally tasty and worth a trip for.

Very average hotel, needs a refresh
We stayed for 5 nights, cannot fault the staff as they are super attentive. We booked a club room which gave us access to free drinks and snacks twice a day. Well worth doing.
The hotel though is very dated and needs a refresh. Pool loungers are very hard and not padded, when challenged the answer was that they had padded covers but they have been removed, ie gone rotten with the humidity and not replaced.
Breakfast room is very canteen like, huge and not friendly, more like a conference room. Will not return but thanks to the staff.

Good, but not perfect
Even before arrival I received an email from the hotel with the offer to provide our passports in advance by scan to ensure a fast and smooth process at check-in. I thought I was great - I hadn't experienced anywhere like this and thought to myself: “Someone thinks along and is efficient!”.
On arrival, however, nobody seemed to care anymore and so we sat longer than thought at the reception. That's not a bad thing in itself but I was a bit disappointed with how I was offered an advantage and ultimately nothing came of it. Too bad!
As a Diamond member, I didn’t get an upgrade on the grounds that everything was fully booked. Good - we could live with that. After all, we got a late check-out at 2 p.m. Oh, hell!
Otherwise, the hotel is of course very nice and quiet. Also the very nice pool did it to us.
At breakfast we sometimes had to wait a long time before we could reorder coffee/tea. Somehow we didn't feel that some of the employees were sufficiently trained to be very attentive to the guest. Once you had caught someone scribble the order on a note, it took a long time for the coffee to be served. Why not just send someone around the room with a pot of coffee who can then easily refill?
The breakfast offer is great and you sit quite nice! The only shortcoming in my view: there is mineral water with carbon dioxide only for an extra charge.
Conclusion: great hotel with weaknesses in service. I didn't expect that with the price!

A REMARKABLE AND ENJOYABLE STAY IN THE SUKHOTHAI HOTEL BANGKOK
We like the Colonnade and the La Scala Restaurants. Especially the service team member of Bird, Mam, Engfa, Rew, Mateaw and other members, and the chefs and cooking teams. We had a wonderful holiday in the Sukothai Hotel Bangkok.
