Wonderful bamboo cabin just minutes from the beach

A wonderful cabin, spacious, with a lovely porch with comfy hammock. It had a huge bathroom, the daily housekeeping was very efficient with the room always very clean.
There's no air con but instead a floor-standing fan which was very effective and we slept well. Mosquito net over the bed which did the job in keeping us cool at night even though daytime temperatures were scorching. We did find a couple of mozzies in with us on our first morning and bought some bug spray from the 7-11 store which we used each night to be on the safe side.
No lie-ins as you get woken early by the tropical dawn chorus. You feel like you're in the middle of the rainforest, it was wonderful. It was also great to wake up and see hundreds of tiny dots of the brilliant sunlight through the tiny gaps in the bamboo walls.
The cabins are in a great location - just a few mins walk from the south end of Long Beach and easy walk to the restaurants on the main road. Very welcoming and helpful hosts, we were very sad to leave.
On the minus side (only minor points), there is no furniture apart from the bed and a single chair (which we used on the porch). It would be good to have somewhere to put clothes especially as the room is quite dark so often difficult to see what's where.

THERE IS MUCH TO DO!

I see the reviews and I'm amazed. Then I see when they were written and I understand. I did not want to give a lower grade just for the kindness and helpfulness of the manager. I state that I adapt to everything (but by My choice!), I do not like comfort at all costs and understand that we are in a Thai island. We, me and my husband, had a standard bungalow because unfortunately there was nothing else available around. The location is apparently very nice, because the bungalows are surrounded by greenery, with lots of animals around. The houses are apparently cute because they are made of wood and palm trees. The cost is great but it still does not correspond to the quality because here there is not at all. First of all why do customers necessarily have to have a farm experience? There are many animals but especially roosters and hens and if you want to have a relaxing holiday know that at dawn you are already awake with the roosters. Too many. Inside then, our bungalow had the floor of beams detached and half torn. Not to mention the run-down bathroom. The impression is that the structure is in total decline. Bungalows (ours for sure) in a state of disrepair. It takes very little to put some things back together. It takes very little to do a maintenance to what goes wrong. Cleanliness is absent, but given the location you can understand why. In six days we never had to change the bath towels, and you don't have to ask the customer to do it. There is no hot water but it is not a big deal this. The problem is that you can't sell a business like that without a little extra attention. And then, REMOVE THAT HAMMOCK FROM THE DOOR!!! Nonsense.

Do not recommend

They have overbooked our reservation, as an recompensation found us “similar” accommodation in neighborhood with much lower standard and view on the rubbish. We paid them by cash and after checking out lady from alternative place said that she never got any money, so for sure we will never recommend this place to anyone and post everywhere our opinion because we hate cheaters!!! be careful otherwise you can ruin your holidays

Lovely place to chill out

Enjoyed my stay immensely, very comfy room at the back with 1 hammock. Mosquitos were not a problem, I usually get bitten badly. The nets were very effective. Powerful cold shower.
You can hear birds rustling the thatch on the roof and chickens scratching under the floor so it might not be your kind of place. Also the call to prayer is very loud around 0530 if you are a light sleeper bring ear plugs.
If you want to eat in the restaurant give a bit of notice and you might enjoy a group meal. We had a fabulous Thai buffet which was very good value.

Very good location
