Tropical holiday

Just back from an epic family holiday to Thailand; Aonang Villa Resort was stunning on every level. Lovely spacious clean rooms with a view out onto the pool which was a daily delight for us and the kids. The breakfast is worth travelling to Thailand for in itself - an endless buffet of world cuisine and fresh tropical fruit. This hotel is ideal for families as it's so close to the bustle of the town but is a peaceful retreat with spacious facilities and beautiful grounds, trees and flowers ( plus the rather charming resident monitor lizards !)
The staff are extremely friendly and professional - this was a 5 star ⭐ experience - we felt especially lucky to be here during the 'rainy season' where we had wall to wall sunshine.

Lovely Resort!

We stayed here for 4 nights and wish it could have been longer.
The staff were so friendly, the girls on reception were wonderful greeting you as you walked past.
Our room was very nice but possibly a bit dated and smelt musty, the air con worked pretty well, had to turn it down at times. The room was serviced daily which was excellent and did a lovely job.
The breakfast had so much to choose from and very nice.
We ate twice in house and was ok both times.
The pool was fantastic, best to get there late morning we found then it started filling up. Next time if/ when we come back will come out of kids school holidays.
Proximity was fantastic to shops, restaurants just outside.
Yes we would come back!

I was very impressed with the service.

We've stayed at many hotels in the Ao Nang area. Every year during long holidays, we try out different hotels to gain new experiences. This time, we booked two rooms and were very impressed with the service from the staff, from booking and check-in to during our stay and until check-out. We would like to thank the reservations department, Khun Nooknik and Khun Juthatip, for arranging adjoining rooms for us since we had children with us. We also want to thank the reception department, Khun Oh, Khun Sor and Nong Seya, the bellman, Nong Mud, and P' Nan from the housekeeping department who always greeted us with a smile whenever they passed by. And finally, the person we were most impressed with was Nong Achi from the breakfast restaurant; he was the only staff member who stopped by our table whenever he passed by. Overall, the reason we will return is because of the excellent service from the staff. We love it so much! We think we'll be back next year.

Nice hotel in a perfect location

Nice hotel. We had a nice room on the ground floor, could walk straight into the pool from the terrace. No “laying towels” here: will be removed if you are not there for a while. Full breakfast buffet, welcoming service. The section on the sea side is currently being renewed but no rooms were inhabited there now. At least we have not been bothered.

Pending visit disappoinment

Really disappointing, I'm booked to go here with my partner and 2 children, next week, one is 16 years. They are trying to charge near 800 pounds to have connecting rooms, despite already paying for 2 rooms. They did not say this when 1st booking, other than contact us closer to arrival.

However, connecting rooms are normally treated as a non-guaranteed request and remain subject to availability on the day of arrival.
For guests who wish to guarantee connecting rooms in advance, a surcharge of THB 1,500 per night applies. In your case, the amount of approximately GBP 800 appears to be a misunderstanding or miscalculation, as this does not correspond with the applicable surcharge.
