Asked for a women’s only and had the Male staff in the room sleeping. We didn’t stay here and booked somewhere else.

I couldn’t even stay for a few minutes as it was literally in the loudest place I have ever been. Concert style speakers until 3:00 am. I found a different place 500 meters away and that was still very loud.

Twuin Palms, which is the Slinky Hostel, extreme noise on the beach itself!

The Twuin Palms this.. which is actually the Slinky Hostel, let's go.. over the famous Slinky Bar!
Alarm .. extreme noise, the hostel is literally above the bar with more atmosphere of the island, not even with stoppers you hear less noise and the walls tremble, keep in mind and this is until three in the morning!
Terrible.. bathrooms are the worst I've ever seen, dirty, spoiled, smelly.. at least, there's hot water..
Very bad.. rooms without any natural light, many beds, there are no privacy curtains and were not organized or clean.. the wifi goes wrong and they ask for bail and payment without any ticket..
Bad.. not nice staff
Well... on the same beach, clean bedding.

Strange

Boy where do I start… upon arrival we were helped by a guy who might’ve been too high to function, so it took a comically long time to check in and then he went to make our bed and another guy came and sat at the front desk, asking us the same questions, and asking us again to pay. There was a short conversation in Thai between the two men (I’m assuming the first told the second that we were already checked in) and then the second asked for money again. It was very unclear what he meant, he said it was for a deposit but that was mentioned nowhere (not on the site and not by the previous man either), plus he first stated that it was 400 THB pp, and after my confusion he also realises that there’s two of us, so suddenly the “deposit” is 1000 THB. I am beyond confused at this point and start refusing to pay, questioning why it was first 400 THB pp and now suddenly 500 THB pp, to which he replies “no no it’s a very good price for you” and tries to assure me that “everybody pays it”. So yeah anyway, please don’t pay that “deposit”, I don’t think you’re ever seeing that money again.
Aside from that, the bathroom was a mess. Actually filthy. I would’ve let that slide (you pay €8 a night, beggars can’t be choosers) but it was also not very clear that this was a party hostel, or at least located directly above a loud bar. I would not recommend this hostel at all.

Unique experience

You have to think very hard about staying there. It's on the beachfront above a nightclub.
By day it is very good because the room is good, clean and the bed very comfortable; the bathrooms not so much, but passable. What happens is that at night the noise of the disco rumbles up to the walls of the room until it closes at 3:15am; so if you don’t join the party, you don’t have good caps or you take a pill, you won’t sleep anything. So you choose.
