Very nice hotel.

Although established in 1987, the hotel looks nice, fresh, and in good condition. Its architecture and decoration is a perfect blend between old cozy Lanna and comfortable modern day, such as a wooden floor, antique stuffs, bright corridor. Besides, the hotel is not far from Kad Kong Ta Walking Street (about 1.5 km). Staffs were polite and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast zone was at the back of the hotel. We walked passing through the green garden and fish pond to enjoy a pleasant breakfast which was à la carte with 3 options Thai (boiled rice with minced pork), American (ham-sausage-bacon with scrambled eggs and salad), and Chinese (ข้าวต้มกุ๊ย ; plain boiled rice served with various side dishes). We also had an extra order of local dish, Northern style minced pork Larb. Very delicious! Highly recommend!

Like some Soviet-era government hotel, this was obviously designed to impress (and at first glance it does) but has staff that don’t seem trained or even that interested to provide a good service level. Food in the restaurant is poor, Wi-Fi service worse and there are zero amenities. Located next to a derelict building quite far from the center of town, they provide no bicycles or shuttle to and from the center. Our room was clean (if dated) but the area isn’t great and the hotel a big disappointment.

The hotel was clean. The staff were very friendly and efficient.
A good location.
Negative points were that there was an issue with the WiFi on the first day and the breakfast wasn’t hot enough at the start of the stay. Both issues improved significantly while we were staying.
We would stay again.

Geared towards group tours

The 6th floor hotel is a 30-minute walk from the centre and 7 Tuktuk minutes from the train station. The hotel is designed for group tours. The dining room and the lobby accordingly very spacious with lots of wood, but without coziness. The garden is beautifully landscaped with koiteich, but does not invite to linger, because the bar also seemed closed. We arrived without a group and possibly also out of season, the hotel seemed empty. The staff as always friendly but with little English knowledge. Breakfast not varied. Overall, the price is very cheap.

In the norm

Very nice place but just as “basic” the food, let’s say that the dishes are those already tried a little everywhere and does not excel in anything from my humble point of view.
Very nice staff and service in the norm. I don't think it'll be my first choice if I go back here.
