I really loved my stay at Khaosok River Home Resort. It's isolated, surrounded by mountains and a river, the little homes are cut and the open dining room is perfect!

Good base for trips in Khao Sok. You get ‘jungle experience’ and friendly staff - but accommodation is fairly basic

Nice stay and generally recommendable, based on a ‘jungle experience’ expectation. A great base for trips in Khao Sok.
However, accommodation was reasonably basic, rooms very small, beds very hard.
We were informed that we could swim in the river, but that was simply not possible (only 20-30 min deep at the time).
Staff was incredibly friendly (5 stars).

Beautiful spot with paradisiac view of the Khao Sok mountains and river running right by your cabin. Cabins are comfortable and small but you can hear the next one very easily and bathroom does not have full privacy (clear window shade). Most of the staff were very kind and friendly, some are a bit rude. One can understand the language barriers and busy tourist area with lots of demanding tourists leads to some apprehension but they seem to be less friendly than could be. Se light prepared snacks for purchase would be lovely. I had a chance to meet the owner/operator who was very gracious and helpful.

It‘s a nice little hotel with an amazing view on the river. Staff was absolutely incredible!
The only thing that you need to prepared for if you come here, it‘s in the middle of nowhere, without a taxi (which is quite expensive) it’s impossible to get anywhere.
Still loved the stay :)
