Hygiene issues and under renovation! Beautiful garden, large rooms, but poor breakfasts; under renovation (June 2026).
This is not the first time we have stayed at this hotel. Last time, I promised myself not to return, but after some research, I saw that the manager responds to his clients, that some rooms have been renovated, and that the customer reviews were better. And given the proposed price, which was very low (€44.00 per night with a buffet breakfast through Agoda), I thought, "Come on, go see if the service has improved." Well, my answer is "YES," it is a little better than before, but there are still things to improve. Airport transfer: It is included in the price, BUT as always when you arrive, no one is waiting for you. So the first thing you will do is look at all the signs with the names of arrivals (there are hundreds) because you think that maybe finally someone thought to come (considering that I had sent an email the day before to inform them of the time of my flight's arrival). And well, no, once again there was no one, and I had to call the reception. I had to try 8 times exactly because no one was answering! Incredible, right? I was about to give up because I know that the hotel is located 5 minutes by car from the airport or to take a taxi (but taxis are exorbitant if you do not go to the main street (around €10 for 5 minutes!). Anyway, suddenly someone finally answered me. I told her that I was waiting. She told me, "OK, we will be there in 5 minutes." The cost of this international call? €3.50… almost the price of a taxi if you take the trouble to go to the main street located just in front of the airport. Anyway, the stay is starting off poorly! The hotel itself is under renovation. The "boss Bar/Restaurant has been reduced by half; we now have breakfast there. In front of the hotel entrance, they are constructing a large building that will undoubtedly be the new breakfast room. (The old room is closed). There will also be a terrace overlooking the pines and the sea in the distance. But well, the hotel is under renovation (and two years ago, during my last stay, they were starting the work)! What slowness! Reception: Despite my arrival after 2:00 PM, the room is not ready. They ask us for our passports and inform me that the rooms I wanted (I know the hotel well and had provided five rooms where I preferred to stay) are all unavailable. We are in the super low season. The hotel has never been full. But as always, even though the reception was friendlier (without being top-notch), they do nothing to satisfy the customer. The room: 41. The same as two years ago. No change; the room is beautiful. However, there is a major problem with the water temperature in the shower, sometimes too hot, then cold. During the rainy season, the room is really humid all the time. The balcony railing is still not repaired and is rotting (but safe). I am still facing the computer room with very bright lights at night that prevent me from enjoying the beauty of the gardens with those small lights running along the elevated walkways. On the other hand, they have built new bungalows, and during my stay, they were renovating some bungalows and finishing another one (without any noise disturbance).
Room service: Perfect, the cleaning is done quickly (less than 20 minutes per room). Twice I had to ask for my room to be cleaned because at 2:00 PM there was still no cleaning or towel change (during the rainy season, nothing dries, so this is quite important). Breakfast: Always the BIG negative point of this hotel. On-site, they ask you for 300 baht (expensive for what it is), but if, like me, you booked the room with a special offer including breakfast, the price is much lower. Why does the breakfast not suit me? Because in 14 nights there has been no change, and the products are really very, very low quality. Explanations: If you come for one night before a long-haul flight, okay, you will like it, because it is simple but good for one night, and the price is acceptable. However, if, like us, you stay for 14 nights, you will have time to see and understand how it works: The three women who are present spend more time on their mobile phones rather than taking care of the well-being of the guests. Often, you have to go get your basket that contains the salt and other condiments. The coffee is good without being exceptional. However, do not ask for an espresso (even though the machine is there and turned on); the answer is no, even if you pay an extra charge. The fruit juice (I write "THE" because there is only one). Orange juice that is called orange juice because it is "chemical" juice. I made up for it by drinking a glass of milk, except that... the milk is in a "milk fountain" at room temperature, and (I saw it with my own eyes), every day they come with a big container and refill the "fountain" by ADDING fresh milk on top of milk that has been sitting warm from 7:00 AM to 10:30 AM in tropical heat. Result: One day my milk had a rancid taste. Disgusting... and dangerous if you have children. The fruits: The only thing that sometimes changed (and even then): Melons, watermelons, passion fruits (not every day) and dragon fruits. In 14 breakfasts, I did not see a mango or a pineapple (it was the season, they were everywhere at the local market). The hot dishes: One day, potatoes "Lyonnaise" (I am French and I do not know what that is). The other day, "Cajun" potatoes (I went to Louisiana and I did not see anything "Cajun"). Oven-roasted tomatoes, small chemical sausages (I took them to give to the cats that I adore and that live in the hotel). Bacon, ham that is warmed in brine. Every day, fried rice, noodles. The pastries: Croissants and chocolate croissants that were all soft, which I put in the grill to give them a fresh touch. Breads of different kinds but poor quality. Green salad (not kept cool), you take a leaf and you see the little flies escaping. The butter is also not kept cool. You open the container with difficulty and you have oily butter. 2 types of jams (actually colored sugar). The honey has no taste and I also tried their "maple syrup" (they have never been to Canada to call this "maple syrup"; it is sweetened water). Do not expect to have pancakes, waffles, or anything out of the ordinary one day. As for the eggs, they are cooked to order (poached, fried, omelets, soft-boiled). Forget the excellent eggs Benedict they made two years ago. Now we go for the simplest. In summary: Everything is "edible," but everything, absolutely everything, is of the lowest quality you can find. So if you want to make a reservation, know that you can also have much better breakfasts all along the beach. All of this is unfortunate. I hope that this hotel will finally take into account the opinions of its guests. This hotel could be a gem. It remains a beautiful complex with lovely gardens, very large rooms, but nothing more. Upon my departure, I was not even asked if I had a good stay... this gives you an idea of their commercial sense towards their clients. Moreover, you can see that the manager never responds to either inquiries or guest reviews on Tripadvisor. Predominantly Russian clientele.

Unprofessional staff and Cash Extortion
In return, the front desk fabricated a "lost towel" claim for pool towels left on the resort's own sunbeds. They used my upcoming flight connection to pressure me into paying 1,000 THB in cash without a receipt, refusing to check pool CCTV. I subsequently emailed the resort management seeking a fair explanation, but received zero response, further proving their lack of accountability. It is tragic that guests' goodwill and high standards are met with such pettiness and extortion. Avoid this resort if you value honest hospitality.
