v beach review

Hi, Just returned from 8 nights at this hotel, had an enjoyable stay, quite place, staff friendly and helpfull, room was very basic, cleaned daily and bedding changed, 2 bottles of water left daily. Dissapointed No hot water at the bathroom sink, and toilet seat needs repairing or new one, There is a garbage refuse site outside the hotel, that does smell a lot, not nice when you walk past, but this is No fault of the hotel at all.

A complete disaster, do not recommend.

A complete disaster, do not recommend.
The worst hotel I have ever stayed in.
I definitely do not recommend this hotel. The photos on Booking are very misleading and do not reflect reality at all. The bathroom was dirty and in very poor condition, and there were ants in the room. There were broken tiles around the pool and the corridors were dirty as well.
We booked a room for four people on Booking, but upon arrival we were told that the room was only for three and that we had to pay extra for an additional bed.
If you can, choose a different hotel.

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY

We booked for 9 nights and ended up staying for the 1 night (we had no choice as it was 10pm, had it been earlier in the day we wouldn't have even stayed there an hour) we booked this as a pre wedding getaway with our 3 year old son and wanted to make it special before our big day.
We arrived to find a man in reception with all lights off, and when we pulled up, he quickly turned on the lights. The smell in there was really funky and wasn't very welcoming. He gave me a piece of paper with names and personal details on and asked if that was me. Anyone could have claimed to be someone and taken our room. No form of GDPR. He asked for a deposit even though it wasn't mentioned in the booking.
We was then allocated our room which this young boy came to carry a suitcase for us but didn't know where he was going. When we got to the room he unlocked the door. However, the door was that tight in the door frame it was jammed shut. He had to barge with significant force from his shoulder and foot at the same time. This meant we couldn't shut the door when he left without booting the door really hard and was worried for damaging the property and getting charged for it. The bed sheets were dirty with hair and make up like they've not been changed. The towels had brown stains like someone had wiped their back side on it and left it on purpose. There was a used condom with stuff still in it, inside the safe. The bathroom was infested with small black bugs marching up and down the tiles. The shower didn't work, no water was coming through and even worse there was a junction box 6 inches tothe side of the shower with no gland in it which meant condensation and splashes could of gone into it and made contact with live wires 240v. It was potentially that dangerous we could not stay there, esp with a 3 year old. The balcony was wobbly. It was rickety 3x1 timber and was only held together by a 50mm angled bracket to the concrete floor that was also cracked. This is a disaster waiting to happen. No chance in hell would we allow our son or anyone near that balcony. The pool looked so dirty like it hadn't been cleaned in a long time. Things were floating on it.
After having to deal with all of that, we struggled with the smell of sewage and garbage. We reported this to reception, and 3 young kids came to our room, no older than 13 years old to change our bedding. Then a man also came in without knocking whilst smoking his cigarette in front of our 3 year old and blowing his smoke in our direction. We asked for a room change as everything was disgusting however to be told they had no more rooms available YET checking 2 different websites for this hotel, there were 2 other rooms available to book online. When we checked out in the morning at 10am, we saw a whole row of empty rooms upstairs and downstairs. It was highly likely they had more family rooms available but didn't want to offer. We spoken to trip.com and was advised it was down to the hotel to offer a refund as it was not as described. The hotel then said it was down to trip.com to refund. No one wanted to help, not even a partial refund like 25% of the booking or anything. They were only bothered about keeping our money and not providing the service as described. False advertising! DO NOT STAY HERE. Other low rated reviews are telling the truth! Instead, we booked somewhere else the night we arrived as we were left with no choice and wasn't going to let this ruin our holiday. SORT YOURSELD OUT V BEACH! Everyone has been warned. Do not waste your time and money.

Newish resort with some room for improvement

This is a belated review, so the hotel might have improved / changed by now. I would give it about 3.5 stars.
The resort was just opened for a few months when I visited in January 2024. The beds were comfy, the room spacious and everything was new. Back then, some things were not ready yet, such as the landscaping, and to some extent the pool. However, the property was alright. The room had a nice large LCD TV, that could play Netflix when connected to your account (the remote and screen were in Chinese though). The location was at the far north end of Patong, and a little beyond. It was really kind of in Kalim, but still walkable to town (30 minutes). There's a nice night market just outside every night. The hotel doesnt have a restaurant, but a short jaunt to the adjacent hotel Sunset Beach would avail you to a pretty decent one (Sea n Sun). What really bugged me was that some things were not constructed properly - a door that needed some skilful angling to lock, air conditioning that wouldn't stay cool (but this was fixed after the first night) and remote controls that were in Chinese only. That said, the (Thai) staff were friendly and respectful and did their best to make things right.
I think the resort has a lot of potential. It just needed a little more amenities and improve in some areas to be truly mass market.

Regarding the key card deposit, every customer who comes to check-in must pay and we will return it when you check out. If the room door is left open, the key card must be scanned one more time to make it easier to close. After you informed the receptionist about the dirty towels, we immediately exchanged everything and returned them to the customer Thank you for your choice and support. We hope you have a wonderful holiday in Thailand. And wish you smooth work and a happy life. Best regards.
