Idyllic but the food needs to be reconsidered.
The pros: the exceptional location, 2 pools including one ideal for families, the charm of the rooms, the activities offered including boat rides on the river, the massage service.
The cons: the food is poor and even insulting. It is almost inedible; warm fruits, completely dry reheated dishes. Prefer the neighboring float house, which can be reached in 5 minutes via the motorcycle transfer service. Excellent location with meals worthy of Thai gastronomy!

Recommended for your transit
Beautiful hotel on the River Kwai.
From the pier you are here in a few minutes by longtail boat.
Friendly welcome at the reception. Two swimming pools, one at the reception and the other slightly more upwards. There is a spa with massage services. Breakfast is fine, dinner is also but you really have to rely on the resort here. Make sure you have some snacks in advance because there is little nearby (tips from our guide)
Unfortunately we had nuisance from noisy drunk people but security immediately made short work of it. Also unfortunately some towel layers
Rooms were beautifully situated in jungle. Wifi worked fine.
Overall highly recommended

Nice resort!
Nice resort, with cozy bungalows.
Our room was very cozy and luxurious.
You can relax by the pool. It is indeed remote but that is exactly what you choose here.
What makes me give 1 less star is that some maintenance is needed.
E.g. poolside some pillows of the cots really need replacing. For the luxury of our room, the shower tap was on the paltry side... to call it a luxury resort they could quickly do some things. But all in all we did have a wonderful stay

Magical place
Beautiful place and very well maintained. The bungalows are very beautiful and spacious. Access to the hotel by canoe is just great. We swam in the Kwai River and will have a wonderful memory of it. I really liked the layout of the restaurant: what was most appreciable was the corner where we were made spaghetti bolognese by the minute. The staff is nice and attentive. We recommend ++ this resotel.

good hotel, poorly organized restaurant
We had a great time in the apartment. The cottage was clean, tidy and comfortable. The pool also looked good, although the sunbeds were almost always occupied. Breakfast was fine and there was plenty of choice, but the eggs were often cold and the fruit was not properly replenished.
The biggest improvement is the restaurant. The food was delicious, but the organization was very chaotic. There were five of us and three of us had had their food for more than half an hour, while the other two had still not received anything. After we asked where our food was, it took another half hour before it was finally served. In the meantime, we were actually ignored by the staff and they seemed to deliberately avoid us. Then we were also served the food double. That was very unfortunate and made the experience frustrating.
In addition, the chairs in the restaurant were very heavy and difficult to move. The check-out also took quite a long time, because first the minibar of each room was checked. If there are multiple guests in front of you, this can take a lot of time.
All in all it is a good hotel with clean rooms, a nice pool and a great breakfast. However, the organization in the restaurant and the check-out process clearly deserve attention. With those improvements, the stay would be a lot more pleasant.
