This is a star guesthouse

Spacious, clean and very comfortable bed. It was the best nights sleep we’d had coming into our back packing trip round Thailand.
The pool area is very chill. The hosts light incense and have a mini bar for you to enjoy a beer with your zen evening swim. The guesthouse provided laundry, private taxi service, hot water, and parking for your scooter.

Fantastic!

I spent 6 nights here in this wonderful little guesthouse. The owner is very accommodating, helpful and beautiful.
The deluxe aircon rooms are clean and comfortable. I am not sure about the previous reviews claiming the place is riddled with bed bugs but my expirience has been nothing short of the oppisite. I have not even had a single mosquito bother me even though the place has a great little pool downstairs.
The place is priced very reasonably and if you cannot afford an aircon room there is also very basic fan rooms available which are insulated by the 2nd floor.
A very calm and relaxed atmosphere and if you require assistance and reception is closed you can always contact the lovely owner via her cellphone.
Situated in the suburb just behind all the main entertainment of the Chaweng Beach and Chaweng Walking Street, Samui Star Guesthouse boasts beautiful views of the tropical hillside and local area.
Chaweng Beach and walking street is only 2.4km away and is an easy ride by motorbike or scooter which are also available to rent at great prices!
Samui Star guesthouse is a great, quiet, relaxed place to stay if you like to party but stay and sleep in a quiet, safe and comfortable spot.
I will definitely be staying again in the future and more than likely as a long stay option. Tesco Lotus shooping center and 7/11 are nearby. Spicy Thai cooking classes are over the road and great little Thai food restaurants are just at the end of the soi on the main drag.
Vodka and Garfirld are also cool to hang out and chill with.

Good Place -- I even went back

The place is clean and basic and safe. If you are looking for basic accommodations at an excellent price, this is the place to go. I liked it so much I went back a second time. The beds are comfortable. The WiFi is good and reliable. The woman who owns and runs the place is friendly and easy to work with.
It's a bit of a hike to get to restaurants, the beach, and the "exciting" part of town -- but what the hell! For the price I paid I could afford a little hike. Also, the hike gave me a chance to see a bit of the local community and get some exercise at the same time.
There is a small swimming pool. Not big enough to really swim in but certainly big enough to have some fun with your friends and cool off from the heat and humidity.
I strongly recommend this place for budget travelers.

Great family hotel with nice swiming pool

Great owner she loves to help with any thing you may need.
very nice room comfortable bed hot water in the shower big screen tv.
Very competitive price for what you get.
Location is in the main road in rhe entrance to chaweng .

Bed bugs!!!

We stayed here for a few hours after realising our bed was ridden with bed bugs. Tried to contact reception but no one was there, when we finally spoke to the owner she was dismissive and unhelpful. Only part refunded despite not staying there. This is the worst place I have stayed in the Thailand and would not recommend to anybody.
