A lovely week spent in the Mahmoud Residence.

​I chose Hotel Residence Hammamet for its excellent value and central location, and I had a very positive experience. This is a perfect choice for travelers prioritizing budget and a traditional, authentic stay.
​The Best Parts:
​Exceptional Trust and Cleanliness: The room was maintained to an outstanding standard every day. The cleaning staff are superb and exceptionally trustworthy; even when items were misplaced, I would never suspect the cleaners of taking anything.
​Friendly and Personal Staff: The team was genuinely friendly. I received great personal service, including the receptionist carrying my bag and the waiters being attentive at breakfast.
​Great Bar & Food: The bar area is a nice spot for a drink, serving strong Tunisian beer and truly excellent pizza. The Wi-Fi was fast and free throughout the property.
​Helpful Tips for Future Travelers (Things to Know):
​Transport: There is transport available, but it can be awkward to suss out. I highly recommend using travel planning resources like Rome2Rio or an AI assistant for planning. For local taxis, the inDrive app is much cheaper and a great alternative to Uber.
​Service Knowledge: Receptionists have friendly service but limited knowledge of the public transport network.
​Communication Gaps: I was never informed about the hotel's amenities like the rooftop pool or the beach area, so be sure to ask upon check-in!
​Room Design: Be cautious of the design peculiarities, such as the toilet roll holder's vertical placement and the tight shower space where the tap is located on the side of the bath. Also, I was not shown how to operate the AC/heating unit.
​Payment Policy: Travelers should note that card payments have a 20 Dinar minimum spend, which was enforced by a grumpy barman, so carry cash for smaller items.
​Overall: I highly recommend this hotel for its fantastic value, high cleaning standards, and friendly staff. It's a strong choice if you are prepared for a few design quirks and use outside resources for transport!

Small and fine, clean and quiet. Top price-performance ratio

A really great small and fine hotel in Arabic style. The room is very clean, the staff is very friendly. The breakfast that many have rated very poorly is absolutely sufficient. If you are looking for peace and quiet, you are in the right place, no migration all day, no animation and even in the afternoon free sunbeds by the pool. The pool area is not very large according to the hotel size, but sufficient and just like the hotel very clean and well maintained. The hotel is located directly on the road, but you don't hear and see anything about it in the hotel and pool. To the beach you have to walk across the street and a bit, which we personally but totally do not care. Not a typical holiday hotel in the middle of hotels, hotels and hotels, but centrally located for which the person who wants to spend his holiday not only in the hotel complex. Shops of all kinds are located nearby. Price-performance ratio unbeatable, 100 percent recommended by us.

A downside for the restaurant with repetitive but fresh and good cuisine..the very friendly waiters,,too efficient..

A short stay in this hotel,, disappointed at arrival by a room on the street extremely noisy,, but we were transferred in the morning to a vast room very quiet,, the welcome of the employees is really very good,,

The hotel is beautiful and beautiful, young Alexander in Information makes every effort to help and deserve respect, and a young man named Ahmed thank them and the great Tunisian people
