Bargain late break

We booked this as a late cheap bargain not expecting much after reading so of the reviews, we arrived late and were told our room and that some food would be brought up to it shortly, the room was 318 on the top floor and had a great view of the pool and the beach and was cleaned everyday. The next morning we went down for breakfast and there was a good continental selection, fresh bread, cheese and meats as well as a few other options no toaster though, the choices at lunch and dinner were good too although the coffee and juice machines aren't on then, but they are when snacks are on offer at 4pm. Hotel is clean but a bit tired in places but you're not paying top 5 star money so don't expect a new 5 star hotel, the staff are all nice and smile and say hello, I would recommend getting some long charging cables or an extension lead because the plugs are a fair bit away from the bed

It could not be better.

I have decided on this hotel already a year ago and this year I have been there and was very satisfied, more than satisfied.
The building itself was nice, maybe 50m from the sea. I had a nice room with a balcony on the 3rd floor with a fantastic view of the sea but also of the city.
The room was nice, reasonable, comfortable. I asked in advance to have a good soft bed because of my bad back and they arranged it so I slept well.
The bathroom was reasonable too, nice.
I had dinners at the hotel and the food was really nice and tasty. Not to mention the breakfast which was very good with many different warm sausages, fried and boiled eggs, cheeses, salami, lots to choose from. I usually have problems with my stomach but here I had no problems at all. It used to be a buffet so you could choose what you wanted and how much you wanted, of course.
The serving staff were very nice and helpful. The same at reception and the cleaning lady incredibly nice and the room was nice and clean all the time. Upon my arrival I also received a nice rose from her for the room so that was a surprise.
Wifi worked well without any problems.
It was close to the sea so if you go there in the summer there is a small beach you can lie on. Various small eateries and cafes are also there.
I really enjoyed it there, one of the best hotels I have been to and I travel several times a year to different destinations in the world I can say.
So I can only highly recommend this hotel.

Avoid – Not as advertised

I booked the Byzance Hotel through Love Holidays because it was advertised as an all-inclusive hotel with a spa, wellness centre, gym, hairdresser, shop, private beach and evening entertainment. Sadly, the reality was completely different.
During our stay there was no gym, spa, wellness centre, hairdresser, shop or live entertainment. I emailed the hotel asking them to confirm the availability of these facilities but received no response.
The hotel was poorly maintained, with rust, damaged fixtures, poor cleanliness and chipped drinking glasses. A balcony chair collapsed underneath me on the first day and was never replaced.
The food was of a very poor standard and on several occasions appeared undercooked, including chicken that looked pink. As a result, my daughter and I often ate outside the hotel, despite paying for an all-inclusive holiday, which meant additional expense.
The beach was not private as advertised but open to the public and littered with rubbish. During our stay I also experienced a distressing incident involving a member of staff on the beach, which meant I no longer felt safe using it.
In the evenings, members of the public who did not appear to be hotel guests were allowed into the hotel bar, which made both my daughter and me feel uncomfortable.
I reported these issues to Love Holidays while we were still on holiday and provided extensive photographic evidence.
Since returning home, I have noticed that the hotel description has been changed and several facilities that were advertised when I booked have been removed or amended. Fortunately, I kept screenshots of the original description.
This holiday was meant to be a chance for my daughter and me to relax after a difficult few years. Instead, it was stressful, disappointing and nothing like the holiday we had booked.
Based on our experience, I would not recommend this hotel.

AWFUL!!!!!

Worst experience in my entire life. Rooms are not how they are shown on the photos. 1 electrical socket in the entire room. The bathrooms are absolutely vile. They advertise that they have a private beach bar which THEY DO NOT!!! The staff are rude, there are loads of the locals smoking inside of the hotel bar. The ‘private beach’ is not anywhere close to being private, it is open to the locals and is dirty, I couldn’t even put my feet in there. The cleaner also keeps trying to come into our room unannounced at random times when we’re inside of the room? Very weird. This hotel is a scam and I do not recommend booking EVER.

WORST HOTEL EVER ENCOUNTERED

DON'T BOOK THIS HOTEL if you're looking for a quiet and peaceful place. The "After Work" club (INSIDE THE HOTEL LOBBY) attracts all the locals and the music is on full blast non stop.
DON'T BOOK THIS HOTEL if you're looking for a SPA/BEAUTY/MASSAGE/HAMMAM/ SAUNA experience, it's NOT AVAILABLE. I was told it's under renovation inspite of it being advertised AND WAS A BIG SELLING POINT WHEN WE BOOKED THE PLACE.
The half board (breakfast and dinner) was disappointing to put it mildly. We were really looking forward to trying local, traditional dishes but didn't get any. AVOID THE SALAD BAR unless you enjoy food that's been sitting for a while.
THE BEACH WAS VERY DIRTY AND WE DIDN'T GET TO SWIM AT ALL.
Only 2 positive points:
1) The lady receptionist who is on duty during the day was friendly and polite and helpful
2) The coffee machine and croissants kept us going.
WILL NOT RETURN NOR RECOMMEND
