Friendly and helpful

The hotel is very convenient for access to the main attractions of Istanbul, only a few minutes walk to the tram which takes you to all the places you need to see, you can also walk to them if your young and healthy, but the tram is cheap and very quick and regular.
Aisha and Kenna who own the hotel are wonderful so kind and thoughtful they will help if they can. The room was small but it had our own bathroom, the next day Aisha moved us into a beautiful huge room. All the staff are warm and friendly if you want to relax and be able to get around Istanbul easily stay here it's excellent value.

Good Choice for Budget Hotel in Central Location

The Melita Hotel is relatively small, but nicely kept and managed well. Our room was upgraded, so we cannot speak to the normal rooms. Our room on top floor, was good size, clean, and nicely furnished. The Staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. Our Breakfast was enjoyable. And, of course, the location of the Hotel is excellent, for access to everywhere. Recommended.

Excellent option to explore Istanbul

We stayed for two weeks in this hotel.The manager, Mr.Senol was active all the day in the hotel and with him team tried to optimize the stay of every guest:
all was clean, the breakfast served in optimum conditions, all instalations worked perfect: air conditioned, hot water, shower, etc. The room (around13 sqm+5sqm the bathroom) was dotated with air conditioned, fridge, hair dryer , tv set, free internet connection working perfect, safe.All the furniture is like new.
A kettle is not necessary, because in the lounge you can serve a tea all the day, for free.The zone is very safe and the atmosphere is tipically Balkanik. From the new airport you can take the bus HAVAIST to Yenikapi( 18 turkish liras-must buy an Istanbulkart-around 7 liras) and get off at Aksaray.You cross the street and the hotel is at 70-80 meters.
The hotel is situated at a walking distance of the most important objectifs of Istanbul.
We'll return with pleasure to this hotel in our next trip to Istanbul.

The environment is very good, the breakfast is very rich, it is close to the subway, the surroundings are very convenient for eating and shopping, and the price is not expensive, suitable for tourism and living, the overall value is good, stayed two nights

Great location!

The hotel was pretty average, and that's an overstatement. The rooms are very tiny and the breakfast isn't filling at all. My friends stayed in a room where to bathroom lock was broken, and the hotel wouldn't get it fixed even though we stayed for 8 days.
All that being said, this is a pretty cheap hotel. When you're a broke college student, that's really important. It's also really close to many of the attractions that we ended up visiting.
All in all, I'd say this is perfect for college students or anyone planning on spending a minimal amount of money in Istanbul. If you're financially stable and like a luxurious experience at a hotel, then I'd say pass on Melita Hotel.
